Tim, you are one of two pointing dog hunters I watch as I hunt with a lab. I mostly seek out hunting videos that show great dog work but also the right relationship between hunter and dogs. I enjoy your demeanor and calmness with your dogs. I enjoy upland hunting because it is active yet extremely peaceful. That directly relates to your patience during training, so congrats. Thanks for dropping the video. Be well, Mike

Much better watching as they retrieve the birds too, without all the begging to do so. The time and effort put in is all worth it in the field. 👍👍👍

Another great vid. One thing that really sticks out to me is your kindness towards the dogs. Man they are great dogs and can tell you put alot of time in with them. Good looking dogs! Really appreciate seeing that. Super cool seeing three pointers all on point right before the triple flush clip. One of the best videos I’ve ever seen. Thx for uploading. My Labs name is Bo also.😂 This video got me fired up can’t wait till morning. Seven days straight counting tomorrow and plan on Saturday too.

Great video, good shooting!!!!!!!!,best part about these hunts are watching the dogs do their stuff, I have an 8 year old GSP, her name is Mia and I love watching her point, I'm in Ontario, Canada those fields look amazing! fun days for sure....enjoy!, I'm going out this Sunday with Mia😛 What shells are you using ? What shotgun you use? How far are you leading for those cross shots, just curious?.... Cheers, Danny//
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Danny! I shoot a 12ga Benelli Montefeltro and the shells I use are the Boss #5 shorty. Crossing shot leads depend on the angle for me and are fairly instinctual but I’m generally a foot or 2 in front of the bird and try to make sure I’m following through, or keeping the barrel moving.
@dannyboy9784 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim for the info< I shoot a benelli SBE 3 and find that I had to get used to floating the bird on top of the barrel, I assume all benellis are similar@@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270

@@dannyboy9784 yes! Both Quinn and I shoot the Montefeltro and have talked about that a lot, floating the bird over the barrel.

@@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270Is that because of the front end being light?
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 Жыл бұрын
@@scottrodman802 maybe, I shot it a few times when I first got it to get a feel for it. Then I went up to deer hunt and had a day to grouse hunt, without the dogs, and had a bunch of flushes, some relatively easy shots for Ruffies and I was missing, shooting over the top of them. Ended up getting 2 that day once I realized to aim at the bottom of the bird. At least that’s how mine shoots anyways.

Hi Mark, Benelli Montefeltro and I love it, I hear ya being a lefty, not as much out there….I wanted an auto with a wood stock at that price point and this has been an excellent gun.

I don't know what it is, but it looks like you swing your muzzle through your dogs almost every time you mount your gun.
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 Жыл бұрын
Camera might make it look that way but I would never purposely do that, I will go back and look though to see if that’s the case 👍🏻
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 Жыл бұрын
The camera is above both the gun and dogs, the camera may be giving you that look but I’m well over my dogs. Definitely didn’t mind going back and looking though, if I was I would have had something to change, appreciate the insight, thanks Steve.

U shot 3 birds down in wet area and only came back to the truck with one and a shed what’s up with that
@timwagenmanuplandadventure8270 Жыл бұрын
The triple flush was the first spot of the day we walked, I shot 1 of those birds, Quinn shot one just before I pulled the trigger on the 2nd one and I missed the 3rd bird that flew out of frame. We then went to a spot I really love to hunt over the years, not as many birds in it this year like last year, but I picked up that rooster and a shed on that piece and that’s what I videoed right before the drone footage of the same spot.
