How about some insights into the new little stabs? I tried shimming with Just a point 5 degree the 185 paired with the 930SF..cause that little stab, although fast, obviously wasn't giving me much "boost" upwards with each pump (unless I had a ton of speed)... But.. It seems like that tiny bit of shim was just WAY too much drag for that setup... Whereas it really seems to help the 215 stab on certain days. Think they'll make a point 25 degree shim someday or is such a small stab not really advisable to shim?

Thanks Dylan, I love the SF930 for winging. Have been riding it the last year with various stabs and its an unreal user friendly foil. I picked up the HA850 second hand and have yet to really dig it, it certainly requires more finesse to ride well. I would love to try the SF830 but think there would be too much overlap with the 930. Same for the MAv2's, look and sound great but I don't wanna be second guessing what to ride. Have you tried the SF680? I'm wondering would it be a good high wind, large wind swell foil, with SF characteristics but a much higher top end.... any thoughts? (or should I just suck it up and put time in on the HA850)

The HA is a different animal for sure, it’s made for speed, very high stall speed to it, you have to really dig hard to get it to roll over or you will get kicked! I think if you have those wings, 680 is the ticket. You will love it. I was towing it yesterday. Check out my instagram @kitepuertorico. I’m about to throw up a video of my team rider Arland pumping 3 waves back on it in 10 foot swell. You don’t need 10 foot, but that’s what we had. I have one in stock ready to ship. Which stab is better for the MAv2 850 ? The s215 or s208 (or s270) I have all three stabs. Thanks! Good info in this video!

the 215 will be slighly slower and give you a better low end additionally, it will roll over better in the turns then the 208. the 208 will give you a better top end in a straight line, more slip in the Yaw. I would much prefer either of those tails over the 270.

What would you recommend using for light wind kite foil small ocean swell. I've got the 1050 of that one on the top left and don't really feel the wave or swell picking me up.

The one in the top left is the 1150 swept back. Not a gliding foil. That was actually north’s first foil! I could go 1050MAv2. A lot more speed range and glide. Seem like similar sizes, but it’s a different animal to the swept back. If you are more advanced grab a 850MAv2 What tail? I would recommend the 210S as an upgrade if you go 1050mav2

@@KitePuertoRico Thanks! Yeah I've got both the 1050 and 850 swept for kite foiling based on their catalog with those being really the only ones dedicatedly marketed to kite foiling. Very confusing. I use the 1050 for really light wind flying a 10m kite and learning new tricks where I need more stability as I ride the Mini Scoop which makes it more twitchy having come from a bigger board. The 850 more to throw it around more, but it's def more challenging. Knowing that still the MAv2 to ride swell/ rolling chop ?

Hi. This a great video thanks. I use the HA850/1450 and SF930 all with the S270. Love to hear your thoughts on if it's worth buying a S215 for the SF930? Or is it a negligible difference from using the S270? Regards.

That’s a great question! I would get a smaller tail for sure. Especially if you are on the HA850 The 215s is ranges at surfing and rolling over VS speed. If you want to get something a bit more ranged for the HA and the SF get the 210s. That thing will kick the HA foils into gear and get you more roll and surf out of the SF. If you are liking the SF foil more because of its low end and surf ability and want more out of it in that aspect. Get the 215s. Pair they with your HA and you will also get more out of you HA foils as well. You may never ride the 270 again. Email me or txt and I’ll ship one or the other out your way today

Hey! What hand wing size are you using? and board? If you are using a 88+ liter with a 7m North Loft. You would have no issues with the 1850maV2

I’m just graduating from my beginner foil, baby jibes. 75kg, considering SF1080 or MA1050v2, great lakes USA, flat to 1-3 ft wind swell. I read good things about both, and you can speed up SF using s208 stab. If speed is low priority anyway, is SF the way to go for all around use?
