Great footage. I'm going to school in a mountainy area with lots of rivers. Is this really hard to learn to do well?

you should do the same run in an open cockpit recreational kayak : P

Epic. Know of any groups that will take a beginner out (on a different rapid of course)? I'm a sea kayaker, but I do a ton of ww boat riding in the waves. Have a super solid roll and bracing. Would love to get up into some ww but don't know where to start.

wrybread take a 201 class with CCK or find a group to join like GCP (gold country paddlers) or LPP (loma prieta paddlers) The latter is free, GCP is ten bucks a year.

Nope. Mainly springtime, fed by snowmelt, and winter time with rain.
