"Reunification" is a misstranslation for "수령님을 따라 천만리 당을 따라 천만리" that means "Follow the leader ten million miles Follow the party ten million miles"
@Subscribe_to_faledy44 ай бұрын
@@pepe-cf3qfI think it’s more like a “they forgot to translate it”. And ten million is kind of like how in English we say thousands. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s actually exactly 10 million miles it’s more of a figure of speech from what I understand

I would love to see a unified Korea, as one. They of course wouldn't be run by the DPRK, or South Korea. The whole point of Reunification is to stop seeing each other as opposites and come together. They would be one again, and continue the great people they are and can be. Mistakes from the past can always be fixed, no matter U.S. influence nor U.S.S.R. influence.

This is an English translation I made. This rhymes but it is not very exact. Snow flakes flows in our vast lands Battles and struggles come to our hands The bright star of Marshall forever enlight Following the star, we march forward tonight. Chorus: Thousands of miles we follow our leader Guided by our party, to conquests we fight! The brave men fights in Manchuria Through ND river(boarder between N/S Korea), heroes strive! In following the leadership of our party We leave footsteps behind us bright Chorus: Thousands of miles we follow our leader Guided by our party, to conquests we fight! In this nation our founding father strived In the merry land our party enlight Through every generation, we rise Through great struggle, our banner fine! Chorus: Thousands of miles we follow our leader Guided by our party, to conquests we fight! The torches give light to our camps in the night The leadership of party, we forever delight! The light, in the whole world, is the the most bright, Enlight our pathways, we people, to sunrise! Chorus: Thousands of miles we follow our leader Guided by our party, to conquests we fight!

People were grateful back then for for Korea being saved by him. There are camps (for the detainment of possible threats to the government or reform), yes, but not Nazi based death camps like people proclaim. I don't see the leaders of North Korea as psychotic murderers. Paranoia effects everything in the government. It's why Kim Jong-Il was appointed the next leader since he was the most trustworthy. It's why the "military first" policy was made.

North Korea and South Korea should be provinces of Republic of Korea, and not co-exist whether in peace or war as two seperate state. In the question of which major city shall be the new capital, the National People's Committee will be holding the 5th meeting for this important choice that will shape not just the people of Korea's future, but that of afar - neighboring countries, international communities, foreign interests and so on.

Those who were not classed as elite or as hostile certainly did not have a higher standard of living. The USSR supplied the farms in the DPRK with the chemicals it needed, their factories with free fuel of course the whole country grinded to a halt when the USSR collapsed. It lost its major supplier and even China started to distance itself.

Technically they aren't backward, but in reality they don't really know much about KZbin, Facebook or anything that can connect you with someone from the other world.
