He lost the ball close to our own goal twice in the first ten minutes. We come under pressure because of the bonkers way Ange wants to play out from the back ....including our own penalty area. We need to find a fresh Captain who plays in midfield and barks orders.

Premier league teams playing every three days in a row has got to stop. I think it is becoming a work care issue. Should be investigated. But that is unlikely to happen because of the mighty dollar. The only way it can be done is through legislation perhaps put forward by unions.

If you have players out you then need to adapt to what you have. If those available can't play a high line or the high press, don't do it. If the players can't play as inverted full backs, don't do it. If you are leaking goals and need more supoort for the backline, play someone as the dedicated No6. You slightly change tactics and formations to get through games and manage them it diesn't mean you play defensively, but you tweak parts. Ange had said they haven't really done much to sort out set pieces, why not? We could also score more from them. Playing the same way all the time makes you more predictable and easy to set up against. Also Ange's style of play and training has led to some of those injuries i.e. VDV, Davies, Udogie and his lack of rotation has cause players to he fatigued and more injury prone, before we had that list of 11 players. We brought back Odobert, VDV and Romero too early, Udogie didn't look 100%, Porro doesn't right now. Ange needs to have a look at himself and how to change it. He agreed to signing Werner and Johnson, who most of the time don't offer much abd lack quality.

It’s the fact that Gray and Bergvall have been great that convinces me Ange needs to see this project through until the 3rd season. 3rd season is his “prove-it” year. Not this season. Not with these injuries, not with these knackered overworked players, not with these awful calls going against Spurs all season. If we pull the rug out now it might actually damage their development.

With more team play and less fking stupid decisions (biss running into partey... Solanke overhead shank etc) we could have got something out of that game.. On the plus side Richy looked good.... Thanks Guys! Ali - I'm surprised at how certain you are that Spurs are not heading for a relegation battle. Yes we're scoring goals, but we're still not winning games! Also, let's not think that Romero coming back will solve our defensive issues. Before he got injured we were criticising him for a number of occasions when he would switch off that led to goals against! Personally I think that we are sleep walking into a relegation battle, but that we will survive as there will be 3 teams who perform worse than us.

Something at the club has shifted. League-wise we're in 13th, have lost 5 of our last 6, and have been basically dreadful for a year, yet the pressure on the manager is mild at most. Cup run, developing youth, a helpful narrative about style of play.. club just in a different place I guess. Any previous manager of recent times would be gone.

I think they've run out of wriggle room with the number of managers they've gone through - including elite managers like Jose & Conte.There's going to come a point where Daniel Levy might have to ask: "Is it me?" They started the season at full strength and were still poor. Over the course of a calendar year, their performances have been nothing short of shocking. What injury issues are we even talking about? Defensively, we’re not too bad-that’s the irony. The real problem lies in the system. We gift goals because of the way we play, and going forward, we’re completely incapable of breaking teams down. The midfield appears to be an afterthought for Ange, which is baffling. This obsession with playing out from the back, only to end up under pressure in our own corner flag, is absolutely pathetic. For anyone who remembers, just look back at the Carling Cup final in 2008. Can anyone honestly say this current squad is as good as that one? That team was considered average at the time, but compared to now, they look world-class. The general regression-not just in the club but across the league-is staggering. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with Levy and the recruitment process, but Ange isn’t blameless either. His outlook is so negative, and his tactics are painfully two-dimensional.

I think it’s also the ripple effect that missing players have. Dragusen isn’t a ball playing defender. Grey is out of position. Spence is on the wrong foot when on the left. These factors impact our ability to play out from the back and beat a teams press. Our defensive speed impacts our high line and our ability to press and our full backs ability to jump forward with confidence when they invert. I love anges system and the style but it is pretty fragile and dependent on very specific types of players. I would say our lack of a consistent number 6 has been the biggest least obvious issue in terms of how we play. Also I would add the injuries prevent rotation and the way we play just demands a lot, watching solanke and Kulu yesterday it’s obvious they have been turned to dust. Can’t expect consistency as a result. The future has to be with our youth, but this season is going to get much worse before it gets better. Only way out is significant investment in the transfer market and we all know levy still thinks it’s the good ol days with potch and he can get a top 4 club without investing

I'd rather wait until the summer to make signings now if they're going to end up being cheap options we bring in to make the numbers up. I don't think we'll get relegated and the season is already pretty much over anyway, so what difference does it make? Plus players are coming back from injuries before long. Spend proper money in the summer when we can sign better quality, probably under a new manager.

Then, when Cuti, & VDV, are back, Spurs, do the decent thing for a decuple servant, dear Ben, and pay up his contract and let him go to Leeds for free. He’s, IMO, earned that. Hi to you both agreed with most of what you said in the podcast, but it happened again we score first great, but then we have a bad decision given against us and it leads to a goal against us must be very disheartening for players because it was to me, do you know it seems to me the officials do it purposely because Premier league want all the horses in the race to be in it until the end, because it's happened against Newcastle, Chelski, and now Arsole, and i don't usually go with conspiracies but It does seem questionable even when those teams play other teams not in the title race the officials seem to go and give those three teams and Liverpool the decisions, and i know we had one against Liverpool but that was for the League Cup not the Premier league, well that's what I'm feel. I would ask why 'Spursy' is a thing, & yet no other sly tag for any other club in the UK. Why does 'Spursy' exist? Is there not another club that snatches defeat from the jaws of victory? I genuinely want to know why this club has that tag - & if you can find another club that has a detrimental one word tag that is associated with it. Because if no one can then one has to question what it is about Spurs that warrants them having a tag where no other club does.
