Really fascinating and I can recall many instances of myself holding on too much to those South Node (8th House) qualities. Sometimes when I've done that, it almost feels like the rest of the world has moved forward while I've been on 'pause' for 1-3 days and then need to catch up for the next few days. Going forward, I'm going to definitely focus more on my North Node placement. Very interesting and thanks for sharing.

I can tell I am really stuck in my south node energy. My mars does not conjunct my south node but they are in the same sign cancer. My north node in Capricorn squares my Aries Sun, Aries Moon and Aries Mercury and I have always found the Capricorn energy too intense and uncomfortable for me. My father had strong Capricorn placements his sun and Venus conjunct my north node and I just found his harsh way of love too hard for me to understand when I was growing up.

Great video! My north node is in the 2nd house and I relate to much of what you said! I am all about cultivating self reliance and material success. The material success focus is more after my mid-life point however the self reliance began in early childhood. I was very focused on not being dependent on my family for money or emotional merging. Question for you....what does it mean if my north node here is in retrograde?

Hi Valerie, retrograde is the normal movement of the nodes. They move in the opposite direction than the planets.

From the little I know, I guess what I most identify with is having a Capricorn ascendant because from what I've read, they are late bloomers. Also I suspect that I probably would not have survived were it not for having the sun as my ruling planet [Leo] I am SO late to the party, in fact, that I missed a large part of my life. Anyway, also thank you for providing synchronicity to go with my new found domestic tendencies, which I'd thought were mostly the result of the plague (or having watched the Grey Gardens doc. one too many times during quarantine). Lately I've purchased: a squeegee with an extender stick-- to wash my windows on the outside; plan to get a Bissell; am brimming with excitement over my landlord replacing the little 20 inch stove in my place, and allowing me to choose one with an internal light and an oven window (it looks like a toy!). I may even learn to cook. All firsts for me, as I was raised by wolves. Having a flare for design is as close as I have gotten to domesticity. Until now.

Always listen to your inner guidance over anything in astrology. However, yes the south node can be used to help us balance both. It's more of a question as to WHY you are getting a loan for example. If it's a comfortable pattern of yours, then I would be very conscious of repeating that pattern. If it's something helping you balance out your 2nd house, then this might be a healthy way of working with your south node abilities.
