My old stomping grounds as a kid from '75-'78. I would love to go back there again. Haven't been there since '96.

I don't know if you found out or not. The Canteen district is named for the North Platte Canteen. Which was the name of the Union Pacific train depot during WW2. At that time, as troops were being shipped across the country during the war, many of the North Platte locals went to the train depot and served the troops stopping off various foods and drinks. It ran for the entire length of the United States fight in WW2. Eventually, the depot was torn down in the 1970s.

Was in this area back in the 90's as a truck driver. It was the coldest I have ever been in my life. The people were friendly and very nice though.

My uncle lived here. Went to his funeral in 1978. Never came back ever again.

My wife was born and raised there. Her Sisters are still there, My wife loves Runza but I never cared for it, But the best part of North Platte is Bailey Yard. It is the largest railroad yard in the world.

Норт-Платт не впечатлил.😂 Приезжайте в Россию в Крым, где есть город Джанкой в котором все похоже, но еда намного лучше!
