We had a great time camping last night! The weather corporated for us and on the way out we took a 15 mile wildlife drive. The girls counted 65 large alligators.

Lake Apopka has some of the biggest gators I've ever seen, lol. And, tons of them. Always a good time. The fog adds something to it... very cool. Water still looks really high too.

It's not a river. It's the north shore of Lake Apopka in Mt. Dora. The dead river does go through there though.

Ive been looking at HipCamp pondering whether to pull the trigger. That looked like a pretty good location! Im going to have to check it out one day. After Jeepin with Judd, I may revamp the trailer so IDK how much camping im going to do this year.

You really have to look at pictures and Google maps before you camp at a hipcamp. Some are horrible as far as being next to an interstate, huge factory, airport or just in a really junky yard. Right now I've only had one that wasn't as advertised.

Unfortunately, there's not much down there. But I can go to some campsites down there.

Big Cypress is close to Miami. The main entrance is off of US-41, but you need a license to get into the back country.
