When I need to get my mind off of fighting terminal cancer I always put on this movie and chill...and I always end it by playing Journey's song "Happy to Give" ..thats played during the ending scene and credits....my favorite surf movie of all time...shoot one of my favorite movies of all time period!!! What's too funny is my cousin and I were visiting my family in Tempe, AZ at the time we first saw this in theaters August of 1987...and the night we went we had just dried off from surfing at Big Surf!!! The wave pool in the Phoenix area!! 😆 🤣..it was such a Therapeutic time for me just having lost my Father in Nov 1986 to a massive heart attack at only 39 yrs old...as a 14 yr old kid the summer heat of AZ my best friend/Cousin and this movie really let my mind go and begin to heal...the theater even let us take our brand new skateboards we had just bought from our own hard earned savings into the theater with us...that skate home we did nothing but quote this movie...35 yrs later..and I still am!!!

I always tell my family and friends...nobody listens to Marcos! I took that from turtle! All you guys made the Star Wars of Surf movies! With all that love,I'm from venezuela and now a pilot in the usa,you guys inspired me and my cousins,brothers and friends in the late 80's that we all surfed and bodyboarded,I used to work with AA in Venezuela at the main airport and went to The North Shore 2 times in the early 90's with them just to relive locations and places and surf small waves during the summer we're only locals and non pro tourist would venture,thanks guys this will always be one of my favorite movies,just watched it comuting from TPA - BNA back to home.God bless you all.

I watched this movie over and over again with my best friend in middle school, Mindy. The first time I watched it was at Mindy's house. When I saw the big surf board, I said, "That looks like a canoe." Her dad looked over at me and asked me if I had seen this movie before 😂. I hadn't! Yet! We would always say the line, "Go get it Roger!" We just thought the little girls voice was so funny 🤦‍♀️. Middle school, what can I say? 😂 Great memories of a special time in life ❤️.

Where we grew up surfing in the late 80s/early 90s there were no surf shops & surfing was unknown. The only thing we had related to surfing was North Shore on VHS. So we grew up on this as groms, all of us know every line & to this day are still quoting stuff on a daily basis! Surf looks good ah Vince Not bad Plenty haole surfer but we blow them away brah Whatevers…we go Many times when we rock up to check the surf those lines come out!

You would not believe how many times I have said "Nobody listens to Turtle". SOooooooo many times in my life I have given folks direction, information, lessons, etc.... and they don't listen and learn the hard way. haha I actually said it at work this week. We'd talked about how a process was to be run and that the operators/techs were not following and they needed to be stopped before they screwed something up. Well that something got screwed up and I popped off with "Nobody listens to Turtle.

So cool! Great 80s flick! Was a teenager when it came out and still have some buddies from them and...we STILL quote the movie! We are in Phoenix so..we know Big Surf...I actually learned to surf there too. Heartbroken Big Surf is gone!!! Just saw on Google maps...the entire lot is just a dirt field now. 😭😭😭😭 Anyway....Actually...just used it at work today...which is why I found this lol...but...told two younger IT guys not to do something cause it wa gonna break a customer site.
