North Sikkim enter karte hi mila shock -DISASTROUS yet Scenic NEW route :Mangan to Lachung

After getting our permits for North Sikkim from Mangan , we proceeded towards Lachung.. Little did we know, that Tung bridge had been washed away recently and we had to take a diverted route from Sangkalang , Dzongu and Shipgyer.
The roads were not the best and a few bailey bridges have been constructed to make the journey to North Sikkim possible.
The roads are adventurous narrow and impossibly steep.. We had to navigate through a number of steep hairpins to get to Shipgyer and ultimately Toong.
Took a lot of patience but we loved every bit of it.
Last up in the vlog is what we feel is the best hotel in Lachung. Hotel and room tour in the vlog too..

Beautiful video. The kind of mistreatment by the local drivers u have mentioned is typical of Darjeeling, Sikkim area (read Gorkha area). In Sikkim, this mistreatment comes even from the traffic police personnel n check post staff. I believe all non- local self driven vehicles face this discrimination, but in none of the travel vlogs you'll find a mention of this. Thanks to u for raising your voice. Well done.

A lot of the drivers are very warm and friendly.. But, there are a select few which brings a bad name to the community.. Rotten apple case.. Anyway, we will always try to remain honest and show/express the real world.. Thank you for your appreciation!! :)) Means a lot to us :)
