I’m using their automated monotub system and it’s working well. I harvested my first two flushes from it over the past couple weeks. Just don’t leave the little fan on all the time cuz it way outpaces the humidifier and will dry your tub out QUICK.

@@thomasspringfield I’d recommend starting with just the monotub kit. I use mine as a fruiting chamber for 6qt shoebox tubs (it fits 3 nicely) and use them for growing cubes. I let the substrate colonize with standard shoebox lids then remove the lids when moving shoeboxes into the monotub for fruiting. I put the micropore filters over all the FAE holes in the monotub lid and just misted inside the lid as needed for humidity. Open it twice a day and fan for 10-20 seconds to remove CO2 buildup. Mine held around 82-92 RH via this method. Since adding the FAE fan and humidifier, I’ve dried out 2 tubs trying to dial in my conditions. TBH, it was less work without the automation kit. Your environment conditions may warrant constant FAE or humidity tho. Start with less and add to your setup as needed.

@@xan3224 Not good actually- I had three all in one bags that took. I transferred each bag into its own monotub 4 weeks ago. They stopped growing. Nothing- I just have three monotubs with dirt...lol I think I know the problem- I believe the problem was using all in one bags- when I broke it up to add to my monotubs it does not have enough points of grain to start up again. ( I think ) So my plan is to buy Uncle Bens rice and try another go. I did add sunlight and air to my monotubs just incase they decide to come alive again.

Yooooo, just wanted to say thank you for your content. I’ve been reserching on and off for the last six months and when I started it was Rookie Mycologist that got me interested. I’ve since found others but I still come back and gather knowledge. Next month I am taking the leap and getting my supplies and hope to begin my journey. I’ve been growing other things the past few years. Mostly vegetables and a single weed plant but I abandoned it due to my living situation and month inspections. As for my setup I plan to get a small tent and put it up in my closet I’m curious which tents are recommended for just mushrooms. I’m looking to have the space to have several going because I expect contamination at times. It just happens, until I have the space anything contaminated will need to be disposed of until I can find area to place another tent to isolate them. Anyway this is turning into a book, I’m just excited to begin my journey.

This is why I don't like monotubs, unnecessary holes unless you plan to grow alot in a single tub. Shoeboxes are the best way for me, they don't need any holes and just need FAE.
