Thank you for pointing out that the blame for this does NOT lie with North. Personally, I place the blame squarely on Disney here. People paid big bucks for these tickets and ultimately got the equivalent of an elementary school play performance from North. 😕 Even her "costume" was basically just a pair of PJs, complete with the fuzzy slippers. It reminds me of a little while ago when Blue Ivy was brought on stage as a backup dancer by Beyoncé. To be honest, she was _bad;_ lackluster, no energy, and completely brought down the whole performance because Beyoncé had this child _front and center._ And saying she is a "child" doesn't really cut it, because there are kid dancers out there who are _younger_ than Blue who can THROW DOWN... just like there are child performers out there _younger_ than North who can bring down the house singing. Neither of these girls has talent in the areas that they are trying to push into. The sad thing is, I'm sure that they are talented in other areas and have other interests as well, but because of who their parents are, they will be nudged and encouraged to follow in those footsteps, and none of the "yes" men around them will tell them truthfully how bad they are. ☹️

A significant portion of the blame also lies with North’s parents. This screams Kim’s vanity. They embarrassed their child by putting her in a production she was not ready for, just to say she did it. And no one was proud of that performance except maybe them. People paid good money to see it and were cheated. Other far more talented and REHEARSED children lost out because of nepotism. I don’t actually have a problem with using your family name to get your foot in the door, as long as you have the skills/talent to stand on once you’re in the door. But this right here is exactly why most folks don’t like nepotism. They used the family name to get her in even though she isn’t good enough, at least right now. This was nothing but vanity, and an opportunity taken from other deserving children.

I agree, but the difference is in my opinion is that Blue Ivy is Beyoncé’s daughter and it was her tour. Beyonce didn’t hold auditions for the part and Blue Ivy had to rehearse really hard and still had to earn the right to be there where as North’s mother used her fame and money to get her the role of Simba. I would have never put my child in a position to do something that I knew she wasn’t ready for or even was properly trained for. Shame on her parents! This was all for Kim’s moment to shine nothing more, nothing less! Kim once again trying to stay relevant!

A lot of people are commenting about North's performance so it's hard to explain that she didn't deserve it or that the way it was sung was off-key and sounding like she was yelling without adding her name into the mix, unfortunately. The costume was atrocious and made her stand out like a sore thumb! Idk who thought a hoodie, oversized shorts, and slippers would make a wonderful outfit but it was not it! Plus it cost $8,700 just for the hoodie😮 If she had been in a production costume there might not be as much backlash... Idk...but I do blame her parents and the casting crew for this!
