North Yuba Nugget Hunt Lets find some Gold

This years North Yuba Nugget Hunt was sure a fun time it's a same we only do it once a year. We got to meet lots of new Gold Prospectors and see old friends we haven't seen sense the last Nugget Hunt. There were people Sniping in the river and running there sluice boxes , Panning for Gold and many miners running there Metal Detectors all in search of that elusive Gold !!!!! Me and Gary were joined this year with Kellen and his Minelab GPX 4500 in the never ending search for those Gold Nuggets !!!! I think there were just about every brand and make of detectors at the event it was cool to see different detectors being put to the test. Gold there was some nice pieces found this year I didn't film them all but i saw some Nuggets in the 6 plus gram category !!!!! There was prospectors from all over the country and even Germany and Australia this year it was sure cool to talk with them and share stories. Our LBPA brothers had a good showing as usual and it's always good to see them.
It felt like I hiked 10 miles uphill all day trying to keep up with Gary !!! LOL
I'd like to thank everybody who came and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again next year.

It was a wonderful day with lots of happy goldseekers sharing the fun in a gorgeous location. Goldilocks weather and plenty of gold being found. It was great to see the all of our old friends and to make some new ones. Gary always finds a nugget and Martin found his first gold ever. It’s my favorite day of the mining season. It ain’t all about the gold. I’m already looking forward to next year. Aloha. P.S. You have been a close friend of Gary’s for years. He will need you to be there for him, and to console him, when he sees the 6.88 gram nugget that Shane McDougall found. 👍🇺🇸⚒️

@@Smithsgold I got lots of nails (square and round), and those small pellets are frustrating time sinks. I went down the back side of the hill to the small creek and worked a few crevices. It looks like a perfect spot to find gold, but I got nothing worth keeping. I made a short video of this beautiful little creek. No nuggets up the hill so I went back to the Yuba river, moved rocks, panned under the rocks and got two large flakes and some flood gold. A really fun adventure. I packed up my tent and gear and drove straight to Truckee for ice cream. You have shown me the right way to finish the day. Take care my friend.
