I was in the NCNG from 1970-76. I never was activated during that time. It makes me proud to have been part of the NG looking back. What these men and women are doing will stay with them for the rest of their lives. They're definitely making a difference in many people's lives.

Glad you are there helping folks. I'm a motor grader operator, an boys let me tell y'all one thing, put that material in in 6" lifts and compact it, it won't settle as much down the line. I can run a hoe but I'm not fast so I'm not hacking on y'all. Just 45 years of experience I'm trying to share. God bless yall. One other thing, backdrag each bucketful, makes life easier👍

Good work kids. Now put your head gear on and look like soliders. If your co wants to run around out of uniform let him. And shut the doors on my tractor. Please. The door on a regular tractor cost thousands. I can not imagine what an armoured door costs? You beat the door and hinges off it running around with it open. That is before you catch it on a tree or dump body. Tighten it up. You guys did a great job. Used what was there and made it look pretty good. You got to sit in that seat a long time to make it look smooth and easy. Good work team. Glad you are out there making it right.

The backhoes are High Mobility Engineer Excavators (HMEE). JCB - 6.7-liter diesel power plant capable of moving its 17.5 tons at 60 mph. I have never seen these before. I have seen a lot of back hoes in my life but never these! These are actually called Excavators - JCB is an English Company but there is a plant in Pooler, GA (close to Savannah) that assembles these! I get the operator thing - I thought that too but maybe these machines are new to the Guard - 60 mph is no joke!

It's a great thing that the state guard is doing for the people of WNC . As a retired NCO I see several individuals starting around when their hands in their pokes. I'm sure they could be doing something that is more constructive with there time.

I was a pipe layer for 18 yrs, can operate backhoe which that is CAT ,JHON DEER ,same as dozers & excavators. Little painful to watch, the only way you' lol learn is to actually do it with safety. You're learning. Keep up the good work/ job of helping out these kind folks in your state. Sending prayers for all....Thank you for your guys service as well & be safe.

hats off to these young men for helping out and serving our country in a very good and helpful way. not for nothing but my neighbors driveway/culvert got washed out and the culverts or tiles were covered with small stones and dirt. mine didnt Get wasehd out because the culvert pipe was bedded in with large stones and chunks of rock covered with small stone and crushed rock over it. built by the TVA back in the day

Too many chiefs stand around not enough help. Use the backhoe a lot more than the buck and reach out and get the rocks and fill . I think a 10 year old could do better. These guys spend to much time around the card table and not training and working the equipment

Why even spend time Ie $ on this video. I mean don't get me wrong thanks for taking care of that 1. But I was just a 1 dude with micro digger and worked a hole hollae. Judging on the shadows for you squad just standing around 1 opp.worked all day. Standing under day light for best lightning for photo op. Not conquering more missions.. I would like to say that I didn't see this more than once in person. But at least you got pictures on your phone of somebody doing something. And the group photo at the end you should at least rub some dirt on your camis so you look like you did something
