No. I live in Japan, and if you must know I'm very pro Taiwan and have a very strong dislike for the current mainland government. Topics like the current US President essentially disregarding the one-China policy by directly communicating with the Taiwanese government and considering arms sales to Taiwan for example I find intriguing. I have a feeling you and I would share many similar opinions. That said, my comment about French cars was half a joke, half a comment on the stereotype that French cars are often not the best build quality or design. It was not meant as a genuine insult, just an off hand comment.
