I'm from Australia and there are lots of Chinese people here.... lots and I have nothing bad to say against them, nothing at all. So anyway back in 2011 I dated one in Melbourne CBD for 3-4 hours it went well initially, we went out to dinner, went for a good walk together, but I cut it off. She told me she would see me the next day but a few hours later I got a sms saying she had go back to China because of some drama with her mother, it was staged I think but I think she was saying I don't want to see you. I did not reply and once I got back home she wanted to keep communicating with me but I was having nothing of it. I told her look you were a good person (at first) but I need to cut this off because I did not believe that you did not go back and she got very defensive. I had a pretty rough time with girls in my 20's and I had had enough of it and it was time to stand up. It was a trust issue with me but I was probably right and I was not going to allow her to mess with my emotions. End of story!. If she met somebody since my date, no worries, glad for her, but then again maybe this broke her too... I hope not and I hope she has had success since. Later that year I met my current wife and we now have a lively son, moved on and the past is forgotten. China is an amazing place and I still hope to travel there one day. Been to the Philippines 5 times and hoping to go to Japan later in 2024, but China is certainly on my list, esp rural China (outside of the cities).
