Northern Exposure intro filmed on location in Roslyn, WA - on super 8mm!

The first short I ever bothered to storyboard, as a friend and I visited the town of Roslyn, Washington, about an hour East of Seattle off of I-90, where the great show Northern Exposure was set. Shot on one roll of Kodachrome Super 8mm film in 1997. Enjoy those 90's memories!

Wishing things were still like back then... and Northern Exposure was real, that the characters were not acting. I just wish for a place where people were like the characters in the series.

Brings back so many memories everytime I drive Cicely. I loved seeing all the stars being filmed. Miss turner. Is. So. Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️. Sweet fun lady.

I love the look of this town. Will have to visit one day. From this I know who love in the states or come from there, this is what a kit of the rural areas look like. It's a shame Northern Exposure and twin Peaks were the only series extensively shot in these kind if locations.

I’m back to watching this series again cause I’ve got the channel. Have recorded a # of them, then of course I have to erase them to make room for the others that’ll be coming. But when it was actually on basic TV way back then, some reason I was really attracted to it & quite enjoyed it, but there wasn’t any way to record any of the programs; so once the program ended for that night, that was it. Wait till the next wk. Well now I’m watching re-runs every eve 😊but realizing that some of the topics or issues have made me think, hmm 🤔 I’ve found out that Shelly & Holling literally were 40+ yrs apart! That’s gross no matter what! Eww, it’s stated that she’s the age of say a granddaughter in comparison to him period! 😟🤭yuck.
