This is the flagship of travel channels by which many of this genre should take note. Well written, thoughtfully narrated, beautifully filmed with accompanying music chosen sensitively for cultural significance thereby enhancing the overall pleasure of viewing and learning. So often travel channels are tiresome affairs with awful, disquieting muzak, overwrought narration delivered in a language passed off as English but to me manifests as an ordeal of mispronunciation, poor vocabulary and lack of care. Thank you Mr. Callan, through your superior production my travel plans are helped significantly.

Thank you so much for one of the nicest comments I ever got. It is good to know that my work is appreciated that way, which inspires me to do all the more. I am also disgusted with most so-called travel videos, which are usually nothing more than endless, boring pictures without narration. I work hard at choosing good places, shooting a lot and well, editing carefully, doing the research, finding legal music, narrating, then mixing it all together. It is gratifying to hear your appreciation, thank you again.

Awesome job. Bravo! While I was enjoying each highlight, and following the map, I was also thinking of all the places in between that could easily make several other top 20 lists. One could easily make a documentary in just about any village or city in Italy. Marostica, Asolo, Aosta, Ferrara, Ravenna, Rapallo, Treviso, Cortina, are just the first that pop into my mind. Thoroughly appreciated your vlog.

Dear Dennis, Great video! There is so much to see in Italy that is difficult to summarize in one o several videos. I have visited some of the cities on your list but in another manner: By car! Yes, I know sounds very difficult and has drawbacks (lots of tickets if you don't know the ZTL) but in my case, it allowed me and my family to visit the places more freely and merge with locals at the same time. Buonagiornata!

Thank you so much Mr. Callan for your excellent coverage. Do you recommend trips to Ferrara Ravenna and/or Bassano del Grappa? I'm also looking at Lucca. I will be basing myself in Bologna (3 nights) Verona (4 nights) Venice (5 nights) and Florence (4 nights) and already feel strongly about visits to parma padua mantua and vicenza. Modena may also be interesting. If any of those day trip cities seem comparable with one being better than the other I'd appreciate your advice. I'm not sure the mosaics of Ravenna are a real draw for me and ferrara seems a bit dreary from others' videos. I do think your videos are wonderful and have informed and inspired me greatly! Thanks for all your hard work and any reply you can offer.

@denniscallan Жыл бұрын
translation: Thanks for showing lesser-known cities, but Florence and Venice cannot be defined as "tourist cities", they are a world heritage site and if someone visits them because "everyone does so" it is better if they stay at home😅 (Florence is not northern Italy but Center). A small suggestion to those who visit our cities, small or large, is to enter the theatres: they are all splendid, they can be found everywhere and for me they represent Italian culture more than anything else.

It is interesting that you also show places that are not usually visited by masses of tourists. May I point out that, although many people think so, Florence and Rome are NOT in Northern Italy, but in Central Italy. It is a different part of the country. Americans always say "bellagEE-O." The "I" in Bellagio is not pronounced: it is only there to change the sound of the "G." Like in the word "region." The same goes for Lake Maggiore: the "I" is silent
@denniscallan15 күн бұрын
That is why I did not include Florence and Rome in this video. Thanks for the pronunciation tips.

Avete la mania del lago di Como, ma il lago di Garda è molto più bello e mediterraneo nella parte sud. Il lago di Como è bello ma triste. E famoso solo perché è comodo all'aeroporto della Malpensa.
