This is a good looking knife and a nice design that should work great as an edc. I have said for a long time that the handle on a fixed blade is very important. It should be comfortable in use and not cause hand fatigue. When you get fatigued, the chances of slipping and cutting yourself go way up. A good handle makes the knife safer to use!

The Dart looks like a sweet pocket fixie but the Mink looks more utilitarian in size and shape. So glad to see this type of collaboration. It’s cool to see these steels perform so well when properly treated. I personally wonder how some of the older stuff like S30V or AEB-L would do if they where pushed to higher hardness.
@ericasedc3 ай бұрын
They would do amazing!!!! Production companies just don’t put the time/effort into bringing them to their full potential. 😢

The knife looks great and CPM CruWear is a top tool steel 👍 CPM CruWear is a tough steel and can be hardened up to 65 hrc without any problem. I own two Benchmade Adamas 375-1 in CPM CruWear, one has 64 hrc and the other 64.5 hrc, no problem with toughness and the edge stability. The Adamas + a couple of good handle scales easily costs 350 bucks. For a handmade knife in CPM CruWear the price is completely OK.

The Mink looks great and CruWear is an awesome steel. I just received a Hemlock knife in 4V from Levi. It is beautiful and if the bevel was tall enough I could read a newspaper in the mirror polish he put on the edge. The Mink is larger and I would love to get one. Saving up.

Wow the Mink looks so amazing! I love the huge belly and elongated tip of that blade! Seems like Richlite is the handle material of the moment, huh? I really like it! It feels to my hand like a mix of G10 & micarta (or something!). Dude I LOVE those rattingg videos!! In one of my favorite non-fiction books 'Gangs of New York: An Informal History of the Underworld', the author (Herbert Asbury) describes how in 19th century NYC, the five main gangs (one of the gangs was called The Dead Rabbits!!!) would round up thousands of rats from the city streets, put them all in a pen in the basement of a Saloon, and run Wire Fox Terriers at them, with the all of the gangsters naturally placing bets on how many rats the dogs could kill before they succumbed to hundreds of rat bites!!! Wild stuff!! Your hair looks all sun bleached and pretty and gets the win today! 🥰 Congratulations on the Mink release!!! Such a great achievement!! Another great video, Erica!!! 🧡

I like the Mink, Richlite is a good choice for handle material, I like CRUWEAR steel, have a Spyderco Manix 2XL in CRUWEAR, don't think its HRC is as hard as the Mink. It always gets me when you hold a Bugout, I own the exact same one and the handle disappears in my hand, but you have room to spare. Good luck with this great design. Thanks for the content Erica.

It's a great size and great design. Dare I say "lovely" design? It's the repetition in the angles. The profile belies the thick stock of the steel at the handle. By the way, the ratting terrier clips are hypnotic.
