We had an absolutely incredible night at Uttakleiv Beach in Lofoten. Here photographed both beautiful seascapes and the auroras. The aurora borealis is also known as the northern lights. This phenomenon is just absolutely incredible and we had an explosion of it! Landscape and nightscape photography comes with a lot of pros and cons. THIS is pro! :D
The noise during the live recordings of the auroras are just wind hitting the microphone of the camera. You can't hear the auroras ;)

Wow! Just wonderful. What an explosion.! You conveyed the excitement so well. I remember so well the thrill of my first aurora on the Norwegian coast. I have to say that no photo or film has ever adequately captured the thrill of standing under them ---maybe because the "capture" pales in comparison to the actual experience. I believe that your primal scream of excitement is the best we can do,--. just stand and enjoy. My favorite image -- the dragon's eye photo.

Ouh là là, quelle nuit cela a dû être...!!! Tout photographe de nature rêve de vivre des moments pareils. Comme m'a dit un vieux photographe écossais un jour d'attente de soleil entre les nuages d'Old Man Storr: to be at the right place at the right Time, the Way for all photographer . Je suis impatient de voir de nouvelles images d'Islande avant d'y retourner en Juin. Deux mois sur place, quel beau voyage. Merci pour tout ce partage.

That’s pretty amazing! My wife and I were driving one night in Massachusetts of all places in the 1970’s when we saw that the sky was all lit up. We found a dark field and watched the Aurora of our lifetimes. At one point a starburst pattern appeared overhead, seemingly focused on us. I don’t know if I was shaking, but it was literally terrifying and awesome at the same time. Sort of like God pointing directly at us.

Spectacular, Mads. I enjoyed your commentary and your shouts of joy. I experienced seeing the aurora while staying in Sitka, Alaska, some years ago, and I reacted to them in the same way you did -- with shouts of joy and amazement. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

Mads your excitement for photography comes through in your videos. The Northern Lights were A-Mazing in this video. Looking forward to your next video series from your 2 month adventure in Iceland (which I was lucky enough to be a part of for 2 weeks).
