Enjoying your info! I am from NH and just got to finally being able to trap for 2 weeks the end of April for a nuisance job for Fish and Game. With 5 traps I trapped to sites. Got 3 beaver between 50 and 60 lbs, 2 that were 2 year olds and 4 incidental otter. 3 mile round trip walk in each day the first week using a sled and backpack and stashed my waders and tools to not have to carry in each day. Lovr my 800 gram waders and my TSR trapsetters. Lousy safety eould not reach across both bars on duke conibears on light triggers setting so caught my fingers twice till I figured that out. Ordering new safety for sure. The experience was awesome!!!!

we were having a lot of trouble with misses with the expand a pans on the ts85's, went back to the factory pans and catch vs miss rate greatly improved . was getting toe nails with the big pans on and all the way to ankle on back foot or elbow on the front foot with the factory pan put back on. dan shows the testing on our channel and shows how the catches improve .

Some bruiser beaver for sure. May need to get a few TS-85s. Been using MB- 750s for several years as well as Belisle 330s. Looks like your lure works well, I make my own as well with great success too. Al

How do you prepare your beaver meat for martin and fisher? I had a lot of martin on my trail cameras this fall/winter and would like to be ready for next year. So any help/advise you could give me would be very welcome.

i like to use fresh beaver meat for marten and fisher, which usually means i try to catch some beaver a week or so before marten season opens. sometimes i will freeze beaver meat for the following year, and it seems to work fine. I have also preserved beaver meat with sodium benzoate and with salt. All work, but i've grown to like fresh the best.

Another option and I’m not sure it works for Martin as I’ve never caught one( they don’t live in my area) I take beaver cut it into 1-2” cubes and put them in mason jars. Seal the lids and bury the jars at least 2’ down, and let sit for the summer. In the fall when you dig it up the meat is only partially decomposed, very little, it smells something awful, but it catches fisher like you’ve never seen. Old trapper told me about it. Just my thoughts hope it helps.
