Very well done northern pike filleting and very little waste. She took y-bones off with extremely little waste, which needs quite a lot practising. Skinning was perfectly made. Just a way like my mentor did who was 7 times fish handling champion in Scandinavia. I do a lot filleting pikes, trout, salmon, perch......etc, during fishing season, here in Northern Finnish Lapland. CONGRATULATIONS 😊😊

I usually use the 5 fillet method which does go well for larger pike. I find your method has alot less waste. I will try this. Thank you so much.

Dang that’s the smoothest neatest and quickest way I’ve seen someone fillet a pike I did allot of bottom fish and salmon when I worked on a charter boat but they are simple fish compared to those pike 🤙 awesome job

Just tried Gina's method and I was a lot slower then Her! but it worked great! Gina has done this a lot and I can tell by how she instinctively knew the angle of the bones but you can feel and hear the knife hit the bones. I am going to use this method from now on and I will just get better (Practice is key) Thank you Gina ! it really pays to use a thinner profile knife and keep it sharp

This is the best video I've ever seen on how to debone or clean a pike, I have seen quite a few but none will just kind of efficiency. Or beauty oh, the first thing that you had me on was when you got done cutting the filets off you did not touch them with your slimy hands, you washed your hands and your knife and squeegee the board that right there was impressive. Whatever guy you have I hope he knows what kind of a good woman he has

When I was growing up in Michigan my father and Uncle would come in from the fishing to clean the day's catch on the dock.
