What a lovely documentary! You are making it difficult for me to resist another purchase! On the face of it, I don't really need this library. However, your products are so well-written and the best compliment I can give is that the instruments often have a story behind them that makes me want to be part of 🙂

I started my musical journey on cornet in 1981, ironically I gave it up as it was loud and only played one note - I realised years later, thats most of what I did on electric guitar! Great video, it genuinely gave me warm memories of childhood and that whole brass band world, even though I live in London. Now I want to get this and write brass parts again :o)

Well done guys, it's certainly a breath, excuse the pun, of fresh air. Being an old Cornet player back in the day, this library came as a pleasant surprise. You got it so right, (sniffle). My heart melted as soon as I heard it. Absolutely gorgeous. The only library creator that I know that has emotion stitched into their products. 🥰

Congratulations Fracture Sounds folks and all the brilliant musicians involved - you have produced an amazing library, totally unique! Our challenge as composers is to use it in a way that compliments the expertise of the musicians and represents the spirit of the Brass Band community!

Thanks for the kind words! We hope that library owners will not only create traditional brass band compositions but will integrate these softer brass sounds into their own compositional styles for new contemporary scores, redefining brass as an instrument that can be used beyond the 'epic' genre!

I've always loved brass bands - probably due to attending Durham Miners' Gala in Durham when I was a child. After around 50 years I finally got round to attending again and it was as wonderful as I remembered - and I could have a few pints this time! I can highly recommend it as a great day out!

Wonderful. I really hope that eventually we will be able to build an entire Brass Band from samples.

Love that conical bore sound! As a lifelong cornet player in the states, I was an anomaly in most every group. I found that with a "screech" mouthpiece I could come very close to sounding harsh like the trumpet players but when I used a symphonic mouthpiece no one could match my mellow cornet tone, LOL! This library has that unmatched mellow tone across the range of instruments. Bravo!

Thanks for this very interesting documentary. I love the movie “Brassed Off”, especially the music in it. This library captures the essence of that music, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I have several orchestral libraries with brass, but none sound as realistic as this, with the “golden” tone I aspired to when I played trumpet in my youth.

This library immediately grabbed my attention for two reasons. The first is the tone : I was born in northern France where the brass band ("fanfare") culture was strong (along with the coal mines...), so these sounds reminded me some unconscious feelings from my youth. The second reason is the huge capacity of these instruments to convey a melody. And melody, with its non measurable ineffability, is why I do music.

The majority of the team here have all played in Brass Bands, so we felt the same connection with this music that you have, which is why we are so proud of the library!

What a terrific short documentary! I love this library and to get the back stories is an added bonus when writing for these instruments. I wish other library companies produced mini docs like this. Such a valuable and inspirational in-site. Thanks and keep up the great work.
