Thanks Chris for the Khao Soi places. I do subscribe to Teenee and will use it when we visit Thailand the end of this year. If you get a chance try these two highly rated places. Khao Soi Loong Prakid at Gard Gorm market and Khao Soi Mae Marnee near Mueang Chiangmai Office District (Hwy 107). I haven’t been there but heard about it. 🙏

Khao Soi Khun yai all the way! First time I ate there was in 2014 and whenever I visit CNX, it remains a favorite spot. Can't wait until december.

Khao Soi Maesai is FABULOUS! Yes, it is a local favorite! I ate there for my birthday breakfast in 2019 and cannot recommend highly enough!

Hey Chris, you missed one place and I think this one could be on your list and that is called Khao Soi Loong Surin, which is in the mountain, great location and awesome beef khao soi!

Had some today with beef here in San Jose CA at one of my favorite Thia restaurants. It was wonderful. I was going to order 2 dish’s but the waiter asked if I knew how big it was and recommended I just order it. It’s great.

Great video. You sure love your Thai food and do it justice promoting it! I love CM for its vegetarian/vegan options--hope you'll check out a few in future videos. My favourite Khao Soi in CM is Aum Veg Restaurant. Just below the south gate, the food and surroundings are excellent.

This is my favorite Thai food hands down. There is actually a really good place for it on Silom Soi 3 too. I forget the name though. You go down the soi from BTS Sala Daeng and it will be on the Right hand side (or left hand side if you come from BTS chong nonsi) across from Klass Silom Condo.

I went to all 5 Mark Wiens Khao Soi recommendations... Loong Prakid Kad Gom was the best for beef Khao Soi, incredible actually. I live in Chiang Mai so have gone several times, all family run for over 35 years! Next time your here, check it out. Feed Phill from Net Flix has done a video also, he gets up and kisses the old man cook...lol

Hi Chris, I can’t speak for today, because I haven’t been back to Bangkok for a few years, but when I lived there we used to go to Ponthip Plaza, the tech mall on Phetchaburi Rd, and the food court there had a fantastic Kaosoi!! No. 4 is called Khaosoi Lamduan Faham. There are several branch in Chiang Mai and also in Bangkok. For my favorite Khaosoi place in Bangkok, it is a very authentic northern cuisine called Maan Muang.

The daily evening streetfood market on Bumrung Buri Rd, across the street from the 7-11. The khao soi stall is run by an older lady and her husband. I went there every one of the six days I was in Chiang Mai. The broth is a little sweet but oh so tasty and the chicken just falls off the bone. So good!

Video should be titled "My Favorite Khao Soi Restaurants" .... I really don't understand why so many videos on KZbin deal in and about food and eating.... Personally, I don't eat this style of food (nor Indian and other "exotic" cuisines). I do enjoy watching others engage in international food cultures. Most enjoyable show for me is Netflix's "Somebody Feed Phil" which is a mixture of food and local cultures. Thanks Chris for all the work you do.

I was at Kun Yai a week ago and yes they sell out quick we had to get the pork. too.. soo gooood!!!! I went to C'est Bien in Phuket...good place listed on Tenee that place was on point and they are so nice. Back home in Madrid now... miss Thailand and the warm people.

you should go check out Khao soi lung pun. It 's a local restaurants in sun kam pang area. The taste of the curry is really different from restaurants in town and his khao soi is all time my fav. you should go there. great vid keep up :)

My favourite dish! When we're in Bangkok and craving khao soi, we go to a little chain restaurant called Ong Tong Khao Soi. They have 5 locations I believe. We have only been to the one in the Ari neighbourhood and it's fantastic! Great video as always! Cheers!

Don't scoff until you've checked it out, but the best khoa soi ANYWHERE is at Ong Thong, a small chain restaurant, there are a few branches in shopping malls in Bangkok.

For Bangkok I'm trying to find the best Khao Sai in Bangkok (have yet to try your recommendation from Adam) but one surprisingly good one I found was a small booth ground floor Gateway Bang Sue mall simply called Northern Thailand Food. Highly recommend you at least give it a try.

Agree it defines Chang Mai, and the Burmese side of Northern Thailand, however Chang Rai perhaps better defined by Som Tum and Issan/Lao dishes?

I like it sweet and Khao Soi Mae Sai (beef) is my favorite. Haven't tried all here, but did not like Khao Soi Khun Yai. Tasted bland IMO. I recommend trying Khao Soi Loong Surin, it's in the Hmong Village on Doi Pui. Nice little day trip
