Hi guys great video. Omg Lisa that was a job clearing the road. Oh what a job. The saying is to have the tree and decorations down by the twelve night which is the 6th jan. some of those alleyways looked a bit scary. We took our Dec's down yesterday the 6th January. Me and my son did it and cleaned through the house too. It took a while -- all day, well through the holidays I only swept around I didn't do no dusting I didn't mop the kitchen floor, so that all got done yesterday 😊. So pleased my son had the day off work, since i had that cold I keep getting out of breath. ❤❤❤ xxx

In Bradford back to back houses had a way through to the backs, they were known as 'passages' I think a ginnel was more of a longer thinner passage, but it is a regional thing.

Hi Lisa & mark my grandparents always told me that the twelve days of Christmas starts Christmas Day as that is the official first day of Christmas and they always took the tree down on 5th Jan and I’ve always gone by what they taught me, but there’s a lot of argument over this as some people agree trees and devs have to be down by the end of Jan 5th because they count Christmas Day as the first day while others say the 6th because they believe the first day of Christmas is Boxing Day considering 25th is Christmas Day so I count & recognise that as the official start date of Christmas

Hi Mark and Lisa. We got a fantastic piece of Foam forour Mattress in our diy campervan from J and A Foam Ltd at Blackburn. Tamsin the lady that runs the unit was absolutely bob on. Very polite and very knowledgeable,we also got some Foam for our Seats and 1 of her employees even made the covers for us. Try her out and tell her Jonny mentioned her.

We have Yards that used to lead down to houses and businesses and ginnals that lead to yards! Most of the houses in the yards went when the slum clearances were done in the 1930's. George Romney was an artist and there's a plaque in Kendal says that his wife looked after him til 'after his death' which always amuses us as it sounds like she didn't notice he'd gone for a while! Kendal Chinese restaurants are awful!
