My name is Kimberly Gardner and I love your videos, this is exactly how I made my rock sculptures in my bearded dragon enclosure for the first time, I'm sure I'll get better the second time around and I always watch your videos to the end very educational and learn a lot from you. Thank you

That is an awesome DIY hide. I'll defo considering doing a similar hide when I get a leopard Gecko

They truly love them. Especially with the inferred heat projection by mega ray. It absorbs the best inferred rays and really helps the animal

I don't know if you will see this comment as this is an older video but I like to create interesting bioactive setups for my reptiles. One thing I do often is to pull artificial plants apart and glue them into places that look natural and provide extra cover in my arid environments (I prefer live plants but have not been very successful with them in my arids.
@NORTHERNEXOTICS4 жыл бұрын
I use succulent plants. Grasses and aloe plants with my arid setups
@starbyray78284 жыл бұрын
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS I had some success with dwarf Sanseveria (mother-in-laws tongue) but suddenly they all perished. My Leos trample all over other succulents so they also perish. I also notice the humidity remains too high with live plants. I have not tried grasses. I was against fake plants but due to lack of success I have invested in a growing collection of good quality fake plants and I have to say they do look very good and my Leos can trample and climb on these without any damage (and they do lol). Also adds a pleasant dash of colour to please my eye ;0)

Wow, that's fantastic. I'd really love to make somthing natural like that in my little gals viv. I may have to have a drive down to mid wales one day and collect some things as you have. I've been looking for an excuse to drive over there anyways across those amazing driving roads.. Before I do tho I need to rebuild my cars carb :x

Love this video - very inspiring!! My gecko loves it completely DARK for some reason. I like your idea of using dirt between the rocks, but how in the world do you get it to stick into the larger crevices without eventually falling out?

Exactly the type of video I was looking for. I went wild foraging on the river bank the other day and picked up some nice shale of limestone, some nice flat pieces and such but I dont think it would hold the glue being a calcium dusty type rock

Thanks! Any ideas for securing it? I wanted to avoid spray foam or the like, natural as possible. I was thinking growing moss onto it with a buttermilk propagation method and the moss might help to hold the structure together.

I got a 50 gallon tank I've got 2 different ones. I want to build a naturalistic and soon to be bioactive Lil leopard gecko mansion. He's back in a 20 gal TEMPORARILY so I can get his tank all did up and I put him with his bioactive substrate as a test run. I'm watching all different types of stuff and gonna make an expanding foam background. I'm not sure what is light but sturdy enough that I can stick the background onto and then silicone it to the back of my tank. Any suggestions from anyone? I've got some ply wood I can cut down. I could get a big thing of polyesterene slab to glue to the back but not sure if it's too light.
