There was a time in my life where I played a lot of chess with my roommate and one of things we asked ourselves as if there's any better start than "bishop c4". Of course I'm far from being a good chess player, but every other opening just seem so awfully slow.

Bc4 is the second most popular move at master level, with Nc3 close behind it. Knight to f3 is generally considered stronger, but not by much, and is played over 90% of the time.

​@@fredekkrainakredek7218 to be fair yeah it's only considered the second most played because Nf3 is the most overwhelming continuation from e4-e5. It doesn't account for d4-d5 openings, e4-c5 which are way more common at Master level than e4 e5 Bc4.
