20:32 just didn't even attack. too many missplays, but that was the most jarring for me. especially with bump. He should of wasted a non 6 on the axe/hammer that way if curse trigger get gets 4 free dice out of bump. Which could lead to more damage over time.

Creating multiple dice lets him keep results so he doesn't have to worry about losing damage. Course the bumps were guaranteed damage so while I'm sure there are edge cases where that keeps you from rerolling bad damage into very bad damage, that ultimate was the sub-optimal play the vast majority of the time.

If you only have space to use three dice, what's the point in continuing to generate more dice with bump? Figure out what your optimal set of dice is for your equipment, then try to get that. Also - christ it was hard to watch every time you threw away a 6 to the curse.

I found out the hard way that you can’t plug 1’s into Counterspell, freeze the enemy, and have their frozen dice be locked. When an equipment says “Roll” it refers to when the dice is made and added to the board, and not when it hits a certain value after being rolled.

It's amazing how differently I approached this chapter compared to Egg By which I mean I just loaded up on attack cards and killed everything before they could do too much damage to me. After the first floor it basically played itself.

Yes, but now he can lose a six dice to a cursed bump, then reroll another dice twice, get a five, bump it twice and then end up with a six and an one for a total of four dice! At least it purge the curse.

25:50 egghead had three attacking equipment to work with, all of which are best with 5 or 6. The first 6 bump was smart since he gets a third die, but then my mans decided to make 3 more ones instead of rerolling and using bumps to achieve max damage. I think I finally understand the frustration people had with early slay the spire since I'm actually playing this game. Egg needs to slow things down

Rule of thump NL, "you dont need more dice than you have equipment that consume them" at least for the warrior. If you have 4 equipment that consume dice, generating a 1 is a waste off of bump. its better to re roll a dice or to bump a number that is lower to one that is better.

I hope the creator sees this I played the witch and got the spell that “Locks” numbers you put in the spell. For some reason. It locks numbers SOMETIMES but then I’ll lock 6 and the Jester rolled a 6 and just kills me. It happened twice in the same fight.

I think bump might be bugged. It's not always the first one you use,, but I do think it goes up, like 80% first, 90% second and 100% third, based on the amount of equipment you have

Am I right in saying that shock and freeze kind of anti-synergise? You're locking a piece of equipment, but giving the opponent a one dice to unlock it with. I guess the freeze lowers their highest dice to a one, so it's probably still worth, but it seems to me that you'd be better doing either two shock or two freeze than one of each.
