I like when nl says "nothing we can do about it" as he uses the 5 on the shield instead of the 2 to finish off the enemy. hes so use to using spike shield for shield he forgets it can do damage.

NL never does anything different and sticks to the same 2-3 equipment every single run, an then complains its too samey when he chooses to make it the same. NL. plz. Also the Irony of "If it's not broke don't fix it" and then losing, and the takeaway being "should have kept things the same, even more". is just. its a lot.

Nothernlion's math is a little off here... 9:30 No Cookie Max Damage: Sword: 6 Battle Axe: 8 Total: 14 With Cookie Max Damage: Sword: 6 Battle Axe: 8x2 = 16 Total: 22 Sounds a lot better than his calculated 16. Not to mention the counter carries over between turns. "We have a dice surplus!" *Then dump em into cookie ya dingus!* Love this guy lol

theoretically there were also the 4-6 dmg per turn of spiked shield that he totally didn't count for "max damage per turn"... but for nl spiked shield is "odd gain shield" and spiked shield+ is "odd gain shield, 6 does damage"

what does it do?

@@dhaes Upgraded Boomerang changes the "2x damage but 1x damage to self" to "2x damage but 1x damage to self". That ups the damage from 12 damage to 24 damage with 1 dice. With Fury and 5 shield that's 24 damage to the enemy and 1 damage to self. That's over 50% health for most enemies with 1 dice. Not too shabby.

Hey NL, I think you might want to start aiming for strategies that have more equipment, rather than lots of large equipment with good abilities. Spiked Shield looks good, but it takes up two spots for a maximum of five shields or four damage a turn. You could have replaced it with Buckler to have somewhere to throw useless dice in order to get shields, and then put something else in with it.

17:10 Episodes seem to be set up so that you can have a couple of viable builds that you can always get to. The game ends up being samey because of it. You never get the "crazy unviable build that in the end just sort of barely works" stuff that you get with Slay the Spire, with Dicey it always kinda feels like "oh, it's this build again". This is definitely something that can improved with patches, though.

Okay the upgraded spike shield is trash. You put a 6 = 6 damage. With broad Sword. You put in 6 you deal 9 damage.

nl when you kill an enemy with boomerang the backlash damage doesnt trigger and its upgraded version only does THREE damage to you upgraded boomerang is so good, on a good roll its 12 damage at the cost of 3 hp (most of the time) and with fury thats even better pls at least try it
