Pretty sure it came from the "Pooters" bindingofisaac.wikia.com/wiki/Pooter in Binding of Isaac. He though their abdomen were beards and began calling them grandfather flies. And it sticked in the rest of the content.

Holy crap, that was the best first level I've ever seen, discounting the one where BRex found a Plasma Cannon in a crate on 1-1 and used it to acquire the Spelunky high score world record temporarily.

Please thumbs this up for Ryan. Ryan, if you get Monty on a level with Kali in it, sacrifice him at all costs, even if it costs bombs or ropes. If you sacrifice Monty twice you get a cool passive item, that restores your health when you whip enemies.

This is true. I was in the Black Market and comparing the two because I indeed confused myself with the thought that boxes only had 10 bombs instead of 12. No difference, really, other than the fact that maybe you only have enough money for a bag or two and not a whole box.

foxman said it, but he was mistaken since he believed bomb box were 10 and not 12. Actually bags and boxes are the same pricewise but a bomb box takes up one slot in a shop and 4 bomb bags fills an entire shop.

what happened in the first floor is one of the LUCKIEST things i have ever seen in spelunky.... imagine, >rare to have an item stuck in the ground on any level >incredibly rare to find the item without the udjat eye >unbelievably rare for the item to be one of the rarest items in the game ...wow

Not really. If you look closely, he hit the spaceship with the boomerang, ship flew to the left, explosion of the ship kicks the mine, which knocks NL into the orange ball and then explodes. Perfect Goldberg machine if I do say so myself.

Hey Northernlion, you should try Shoot First, it's kinda like Spelunky but as a top-down roguelike with guns. Even if you don't record any vids I think you'd enjoy it, plus it's free so it's not gonna cost you anything.
