My Indian-English friend who was born and schooled in Britain goes to see his relatives in India for special events. On India independence day, he has to pretend to be American whilst walking around because gang of violent guys go around harassing foreigners trying to find British to beat up and it's completely tolerated by the police, so you have to be extremely careful. Asia does racism on a whole another level that's shocking to Europeans and Americans, especially where colonialism 70+ years ago is still blamed for the problems of today.
@unlimited84108 ай бұрын
Well it's not absolutely everywhere in Asia, and I think this is mainly from North India and not the south (correct me if I'm wrong), where a lot of BJP hindu supporters are. I've heard they are extremely violent to all minorities, and the stuff the most vocal of them do should be taking headlines here. And when I say they are extremely violent to minorities I mean it, the hindutva ideology was inspired by the Nazis which should be concerning to people that this is even prevalent there.
