4:16 This speech of him loosening his mental muscle memory, realizing he can adapt at any given situation thrown at him and not just default mindlessly to certain options is honestly one of the faith-in-humanity healing and heart-mending moment in NL's career. It is the tenet and foundation of having fun in video games. Even if he should have done it with all the games he plays with the notable ones being SAP, Elden Ring, Balatro, and it took the equivalent amount of time for the revival and revitalization of Pompeii's soil post-eruption with Slay the Spire, evidently this bald middle-aged man is happy to play and share his gameplay, we are just as much.

Love the Snecko respect! Only thing I'd want to emphasize is that an abundance of draw becomes more important with Snecko as well, as with a higher chance of drawing 1 and especially 0 cost cards, it can effectively be seen as an energy benefit in addition to the natural card draw benefit. Skim goes crazzzyyyy in Snecko decks.

Watching NL use the artefact potion on gaining 2 dex permanently instead of Biased Cognition which was in hand hurt me to my very soul
@joosthartog13336 ай бұрын
Potion is +5 dex. Could be considered a good play against time eater. Just burn him down to the heal with regular orbs and finished with no artifact biassed.
@quaoar30706 ай бұрын
@@joosthartog1333 biased is +5 dex to frost orbs. basically it's 10 dex for glacier. so there really is no universe in which speed pot into an artifact is a play
@joosthartog13336 ай бұрын
@@quaoar3070 that is if you want to have frost orbs. I think in this situation either 1 would have probably worked. He only had 2 frost cards though, and he didnt have much card damage/scaling. Dont know if u watch baalorlord but 1 of the things ive picked up from him is for consistency u generally want orbs to do damage or block and your cards to do the vice versa of that. That way your draw is the most consistent. Imagine getting 2 frost cards turn 1, then having to evoke turn 2 cause your damage comes from orbs and not drawing frost turn 3. Biggest thing to keep in mind though is you dont actually lose 5 focus. You can still play the biased with downside and use it on your lightning orbs.
@quaoar30706 ай бұрын
@@joosthartog1333 while in NL's case it essentially doesn't matter, in general, 1 focus is way more valuable than either 1 str or dex, because its benefit doesn't cost you any draw/energy. focus outscales str/dex way too fast(if you are not running some nonsense claw deck i guess). to address your 3-turn hypothetical scenraio: if you see in your draw pile that there are no frost orbs coming and you are desperate for block, then just don't evoke them this turn. the damage you don't deal this way will be compensated in the future thanks to the 5 additional focus. the only way i could see 5 dex over focus be reasonable is maybe when your block engine is hologram and force field
@joosthartog13336 ай бұрын
@@quaoar3070 way to fast means how many turns? Just on your glacier example it takes 3 turns for it to become better then the dex pot play. Since you still can play the biased without artifact. This is also the problem with your reasoning imo. Dex pot is a 1 turn thing you extend to forever, losing 1 focus per turn is not that bad however. Most fights shouldnt take this long. This is also whats wrong in your second remark. Not doing damage against a buffer like time eater is how u can actually lose the fight. Either 5 dex or 5 focus will out scale him long enough to win as long as you do damage. Biased is imo 1 of the top 5 cards in sts, the downside is minor till you get to the hearth. Theres not many enemies that wont die in 5 turns to a biased lightning deck. You are comparing 5 dex to 5 focus. But the comparison is 5 dex to 0/1/2/3/4/5 (turns) focus. As i said before u still get the 5 focus. Feels like a value/tempo discussion to me now.

in 95/100 circumstances the relic you get from the chest is going to be better than the cost of having a curse
@Trevor212305 күн бұрын
@idlegameplayer3756 it really depends on how good your deck currently is and whether you're going to get another shop. If you can be reasonably sure about beating the final boss and there's no shop before then, it's generally not worth it. Getting a Normality in your deck that you have to work around for a high ascension final boss fight is way worse than losing out on a random relic. You should only open the chest if you need a relic; if you've already got the game basically beaten, you don't need another relic.

Hey NL this is likely to be buried but heads up on apotheosis, if a card that reduces its cost when upgraded is upgraded in your hand with sneko eye which cost below what it normally would, it changes to the "upgraded" cost. This happened around 56:52 with creative AI. It went from 1 cost to 2. A weird and somewhat rare interaction but something to keep an eye on. Edit: unless, and this is pretty weird, the card when drawn costs 0, it stays 0. See 1:00:49 where this interaction occurred
