I agree with your prediction of Silent taking the most episodes. Not even kidding, beating A20 on Silent took me over 200 runs, whereas beating it with Ironclad took under 50 runs. I can't remember how long it took me with Defect, maybe a 100 something runs.

Silent is probably the character that punishes you for playing off cognitive biases/autopilot the hardest. You really can't let the idea of "good" and "bad" cards blindside you from a wincon hiding in plain sight. I had an A20H run recently where Setup+, Nightmare, and Thousand Cuts+ was the only damage scaling solution I'd found that was strong enough to outpace Time Eater, and I never would've picked them all up if I'd thought "Thousand Cuts and Setup are bad" instead of "I have a strong draw engine to support Setup and it allows Thousand Cuts to be a viable Nightmare target and become my primary damage solution, so its downsides are minimal and its upsides are key to sealing the run." Anyway 80% of NL's card picks seem to hinge on how much he already likes cards so get ready for enough Silent runs to last until StS2.

The sheer LUCK of the relic and card combos is fucking insane. Corruption + Dead Branch + Barricade + Charrons Ashes. Prayer Wheel + Singing Bowl. Bites + Magic Flower + Bloody Idol. Snecko Eye + Ice Cream. The RNG on this run is like that Vince McMahon meme. These are all fucking amazing synergies by themselves.

I feel like Ironclad is the most "brute-forceable" class in the game, I don't think any other class has a combo that comes close to both the ease of execution as well as the raw strength of the Dead Branch + Corruption combo. You can beat your head against the wall through every Ascension level on the Ironclad since you're pretty much statistically guaranteed to run into the Dead Branch Corruption combo at some point, which then makes the run practically an auto-win.

@ihave2cows I do know about that one, but it requires being able to trim down your deck to very few cards. It is of course more consistently achievable, but as far as ease of execution goes, I would still give it to the Corruption Dead Branch combo. It's even apparent in this video where NL doesn't plan on utilizing the Dead Branch strategy, but he just happens to luckily get it from the store, and instantly the run goes from hard fought hallway fights and elites to an absolute stomping, basically completely by lucky accident. But yeah, as far as most consistently achievable infinite goes, the Rushdown infinite is the one for sure. I just feel that it requires more planning and foresight, that's all.

Snecko is good, and this was kind of the perfect setup for it. (High cost cards that he really wanted to draw early, corruption + dead branch to make all the skills free anyway and fill your hand with cards that won't have their costs randomized.)
