Normally I watch the NLSS for the commentary and don't care much about the games and gameplay. However, Nidhogg 2 was very entertaining to watch as it was a pretty even match and it was somewhat wholesomely competetive, if that makes any sense.

If you remove the character models from the screen Nidhogg 2 has A tier art. I don't think it's fair to say the whole art style is bad.

People are definitley over-reacting to it. The style is great, the problem is the style differs between the characters and backgrounds. This was definitley done to make the characters easy to notice compared to backgrounds, so i have no problem with it

I really disliked the first nidhogg. Nidhogg 2, though I didn't at first like the art style. It's kind of grown on me and the fact that we now have multiple weapons is great!

I kinda like how your murdered bits sort of build up on the stage after you die. You end up seeing parts of the stage become veritable charnel houses by the end of the match. It's weirdly gratifying. Like it's memorializing your struggle as you play. The fact that the weapons stay on the ground only adds to the chaos of the gameplay.

Except the "war on drugs" can't be won cause it's failing miserably. The only way to beat it is to get rid of all illegal substances and make over-the-counter stuff less addictive, but so long as that makes people money they won't stop.
