Northenlion listen. The issue with preparation is that when u draw it what you do is you play it (getting rid of the card from your hand), discard a card, then draw one losing two cards to draw one, one card which you would have drawn anyway if u didn't have preparation in your deck. It might as well say in a deck without curses or discard synergy, decrease your hand size by one.

John Ryan and it never is. NL keeps thinking it's a draw card when in fact it's the opposite. It's not exactly "great" in a discard deck either, unless you're already way deep in the synergy. More often than not it's a bad card and a waste of an upgrade. I'd honestly suggest buffing it, we're I asked.

you should look up how the scoring system works. time is abrely a factor, you get points for time based on being under like 45 minutes, so the difference between a 44 min run and a 10 minute run is nothing. find points in other places

nakkertton your misplay lists are getting worse and worse in the sense that most of what you list aren’t misplays, but disagreements. Misplays are objectively suboptimal choices, like not playing afterimage at the start of a turn, or spending the same amount of energy for a less damage combo, etc. Just because you think one card is better than another, even if you’re PROBABLY right, does not constitute a “misplay” unless there’s some objective reasoning.

+LiveByFoma1 Yea I've to admit that I might be a bit biased sometimes and i'll try to keep it to minimum. That being said in this case taking 2x prepared was undoubtedly a misplay since he has a lot of extra energy and without any discard synergy the card is basically "Draw 1 less card this turn." And yes, listing not taking energy, block or strength potion instead of poison potion is kinda debatable but I still stand by it that he should have replaced it. And now that we are in the subject of potions I completely forgot that he didn't even use a single potion during Donu and Deca but I guess since he won anyway quite easily it's also "debatable" if he should have even used them. Anyway. I'll try to be more careful now on and only list strict misplays :) Have a good day!

Prepared is better than a slice, it buffs mind blast whilst not diluting the deck since it cycles.

Yeah I agree with LiveByFoma1, like for example I think it was the right play not to take madness since he could usually already play his entire hand anyways, so it'd end up being a dead draw most of the time I do, however, think that it was probably suboptimal to take Ectoplasm though, since with a daily like this you can usually just fill your deck with low-cost cards for value. I would have taken Orrery since even if it doesn't hit anything, there is no drawback to taking it.

+Bearded Bastard Prepared is not a cycle card like Flash of steel for example since it draws a card but also discards 1. That means you still only have 4 cards to play that turn instead of 5. And since he has constantly 6 energy a turn having only 4 cards in hand is really bad for him. And no I'm not saying he should have bought slice I'm saying even it would have been better than prepared.

The first time I played through this I made similar choices to NL, but I took Ice Cream from that shop at the end of the first floor and used it to get strong Skewers without the draw combo. But there were a couple of crazy good lines you could create for yourself in the draft. You could focus on Endless Agony, Cloak and Dagger, Dagger Spray and tie it up with the Backstab., creating a deck that you can just thoughtless play your whole hand each turn. Alternatively you could have drafted for exclusively draw and discard to create an infinite combo to build enough energy to kill any single target with Skewer. (edit: On my first run I pulled a Necronomicon on Act 2, but when trying other drafts I always got Nilry's Codex)

0 cost slice over 1 cost poison stab that does the same damage but adds extra poison and could be far better. I mean okay but you're always taking extra energy relics so I don't think that's the right play for your playstyle, and poison can start a meta for a deck.

There was a way to go infinite with this daily if you picked up only 0-cost cards. There was a fairly early spinning top if you chose the correct path, and if you didn't get that one there was another on the first floor. Beyond that, you want to leverage the bonus strength that this daily gives you, and a 0 cost attack is good value for that reason.

Personally in this daily I found the slice to be much better. The thing with the poison is that it really doesn't do much when you can basically kill any enemy in 1-2 turns (and in that case, 4 damage for 1 extra energy isn't that useful), plus the excess energy helps make Skewer better.

NL Values Bag of Marbles over Torii.. on the Silent.. Wut? Bag of Marbles only works on turn 1. Yes the vulnerable is nice, but it's not gonna do much against bosses or anything with high hp (without the ability to extend the duration)Torii is always active.. and reduces damage, and allows you to play less blocks. Things the Silent values greatly. Yes in this particular run, where you're killing most things on turn 1, Bag of Marbles happens to shine more, but on average (ie regular play), Torii is much more desirable.

This was a super easy Beyond Perfect run but you disrespect Dodge and Roll which with your dex was consistently giving you double digit blocks for multiple turns. Also not upgrading After Image... Also stop taking Prepared it is terrible and has been terrible for the last 6 months we have been telling you its terrible.
