There was an old Cartoon Network bump that had the Wonder Twins doing their thing, but then Zan starts complaining about his sister getting to be cool animals but he always is "something lame, like a sheet of ice!" Jayna just tells him to get over it and leaves to save the day, while a janitor shows up and drops a mop in water-form Zan's bucket. "HEY!!" So yes, there was some awareness of the Wonder Twins' oddball use of their powers.

NL, I gotta say, when it comes to banal minutiae in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Afterbirth Afterbirth✝ ~~Repentance is never coming out~~ , I also think about it waay too much. Almost every episode I have a "well that doesn't look like it's working as intended." Here's one for ya. Riddle me this, Batman. Booster Pack 5 added _850_ rooms, but since it came out, it is incredibly common to get two of the exact same room side by side. Statistics would dictate this to be an outlier, but it happens quite often.

I imagine the 850 new rooms were divided between the various floor types, of which there are 13 (3x basement, 3x caves, 3x depths, 3x womb, sheoul, cathedral, dark room, chest) that are relevant, so that's on average 65 new room layouts per floor type. I don't know how many room layouts there are in total per floor but if we imagine it is 100, then the chance to get the same room twice in a row is 1 percent for every room you enter. That means you will on average run into the same room twice in a row after 69 rooms, which seems roughly comparable to the number of rooms you do on an average run. It just seems overly common because of cognitive biases and the fact that our intuition isn't very good at statistics.

@@ottoros Otto Rosenberg While I fully agree with the math for sure, part of what I was trying to point out was that prior to the booster pack coming out, this rarely ever happened, if at all. If we go back to before and there are _less_ rooms, wouldn't the chance of getting a duplicate go up quite a bit? To me, it comes across as a programming oversight, though my exhausted brain struggles to come up with a logical programming loop that would cause this. Then again, I don't know LUA.

But if it indeed has increased then it of course becomes Isaac minutiae as statistics couldn't explain that sort of thing as far as I can see anyway.
