Thank you for sharing your Alaska cruise. It looks like you had a great trip. I went to Alaska last Sept on the Majestic and had a great time. Canada was still closed due to Covid. After seeing your video, I’m feeling a little sad that we couldn’t visit Victoria. Your videos made me want to book another Alaska cruise. 😊. We will be on the Discovery in Feb 2023 for a cruise to Cabo San Lucas. I can’t wait.

Looking at cruising with Princess to Alaska (either Discovery or Majestic).Did you cruise inside passage where you saw land/scenic cruising? What day of the cruise?

No, we didn't do the inside passage on the Discovery. This is more common when you sail out of Vancouver rather than Seattle. We did the inside passage on our Crown Princess Alaska Cruise. And yes it is beautiful on the inside passage. This Discovery cruise was at The end of June into July.

Do passengers ever hand a separate tip on the last day to a special crew member who went beyond 'Great'? Can the crew keep those individual tips?

Yes many people do give tips over and above throughout the week or at the end of the cruise but it is not expected or mandatory. We are not sure if they get to keep 100% of it. Maybe if someone else watching has the answer please comment below.

How did you get to do all of that in Victoria only there for a couple hours.

Victoria is a very walkable City and the main downtown area is only about a half an hour walk from the ship. Once you get there everything is pretty close.

You have us sold on what ship to do for Alaska. One question is there a shuttle service to take u from your hotel to port

Some hotels offer shuttles. We stayed an hour north of Seattle and then parked our car at the port. Does anyone else watching have good recommendations for hotels with a shuttle?

Is there any kind of customs to do here?

There was a customs declaration document that we filled out on the ship before we arrived. Once we arrived in Victoria, we just walked off the ship.
