Thrushpelt is arguably one of the most emotionally mature characters in Warriors. He's brave enough to put effort into a relationship, but even when he fails in his pursuit, he does not attribute the failure as Bluefur's fault, or even fault of his own. He remains kind and even helps Bluefur, and respects her wish to keep the father of her kits secret. He's SO STRONG, f ashfur and f bumblestripe and f brambleclaw in this house we stan Thrushpelt ᕙ༼◕ ᴥ ◕༽ᕗ

Something I love about Thrushpelt is that he cared so deeply for Bluefur, to the point he’d say he was the father, also knowing the fact that meant he’d never get a mate himself if he claimed that fact. He did a lot for her, and yet they only stayed close friends.

I adore Thrushpelt so much. He’s so underrated- he had such a kind and full heart. He did so much for Bluefur in his own ways, and even though she didn’t take him as a mate, he didn’t persist and persist and shame her for not liking him, unlike Bumblestripe who would pressure and guilt trip Dovewing. Thrushpelt is a good boy and I love him so much.

Yeah. Of course rejection makes you upset, but the reason Thrushpelts is such a wonderful character is because he is strong enough to get over it and not blame his rejection on anyone. Not on Bluefur, and not even on himself. He wears the flower crown with pride.

Imagine claiming three children as your own to protect them and the (unrequited) love of your life and she spirits them away in the middle of the night right after you would have had a chance to bond with them and one of them dies in the process and you have to pretend that you don't know what she did and keep her secret till your dying day and not say a word when her kits, the ones you would have treated as your own, grow up motherless so that she can lead the clan and despite all that you still love her and the people who could have been like your own children if you were given a chance? Imagine the heartbreak this man went through for years. He is the kindest cat in the entire series and we didn't even get to know him.

I love how well he handled rejection & that he still cared for the one who rejected him but I wish he found another love interest & maybe started a family like Dustpelt did. It's so sad to me to think how his life ended, rejected & believing his foster kits died. He deserved to be happy.

Ok I’m rewatching this and I just noticed how you showed thrushpelt getting angry. I really like how you showed this because it’s unrealistic for people to just be ‘ok yay I’m happy’ after the person who they really like rejects them, so I’m glad you showed that he got angry but didn’t let his anger overtake him. Sometimes people oversimplify these concepts so when something like this happens to them in real life they feel guilty for getting angry. Anger is perfectly normal; what’s unhealthy is to let it take over/continue to be angry long afterwards.

He’s so underrated, when he found out none of the cats he had a crush on liked him back he didn’t respond with hatred or anger like mapleshade or ashfur, he helped her to make her happy even though the kits wheren’t his, he helped her and never attempted murder on the kits or bluestar. Im unsure if this is the intention of the map but I felt very emotional when he put the flower crown on himself. I feel like the flower crown was a representation of his love for bluestar so by putting I belive he is showing this love towards himself and accepting the fact that he will never be with bluestar but will always be there for her. Its an act of self love and acceptance of his failure and to move on with his new perspective of maturation.

We fucking stan for Thurshpelt, goddamnit- He's one of the most criminally unrated toms in the series and it's a shame because he's a good cat who did his best to make the one he loved very happy and gave her support during her time of need as well as move on from having his heart broken. He clearly loved Bluefar/star, but wanted to give her kindness and care. He didn't hate her, himself, her kits, or even Bluestar's mate; he simply accepted it and continued being a good FRIEND. He even risked his own role in his Clan to help her out, without any regret or questions. That's amazing. Seriously, we need more characters like him!

There’s so much emotion here 1:03 and I am LOVING ITTTT!!!! Thrushpelt is heartbroken by bluefur’s love for oakheart, but still isn’t ready to let go of his feelings, instead starting to find the love that he craved from bluefur in himself, noticing the fact that all storms come with a a rainbow. He also continues to care for her and her kits, providing a father figure without the pair ever needing to express bluefur’s non-romantic feelings toward him. Thrushpelt is one of my fav characters because of how complex he is, and I just remembered why he’s my favorite character 1,000,000 times in this moment here.

Like, it seems all things about Thrushpelt are always so unnoticed.
