I’m always amazed when people such as Robert Breaker as an example believe that before the cross people were saved by obeying the law! Romans 3:20 clearly says, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Even if we had no Scripture to support that all people are justified by faith, it seems that common sense would indicate that no sinful person could obey the law perfectly, and therefore no one before the cross could have been saved! We have Abraham being saved by his belief where we read in Romans 4:3-5, 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that WORKETH NOT, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. King David’s words in Psalm 32:1, Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Malachi 3:10-11 KJVS Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

Robert Breaker is the one I see influencing most. He got his doctrine from Peter Ruckman who is dead now. Anyone associated with Ruckman is to be avoided.

All of the Bible is important. But we are living in the Dispensation of Grace. We are not on the Kingdom of Heaven (Israelites) program. That program was postponed by God when he blinded Paul.

There is only one gospel! There is not more than one way to get to heaven! Salvation never contradicts and is the same from Genesis to Revelation. Dispensations change, but not the Gospel! Romans 4:1-12 - Going To Heaven: It Always Comes Down To This: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKvEl3mmrZeLq5o

I believe that disobedient Christians will reap what they sew and that they risk chastening. However, I do not believe God takes us home to heaven as a form of chastening. That would be a blessing!!! I don't believe Ananias and Sapphira were saved! Read Acts 5 carefully. Acts 5:3-4 - "3 But Peter said, Ananias, WHY HATH SATAN FILLED THINE HEART TO LIE TO THE HOLY GHOST (this cannot happen to a believer and is the unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost), and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? THOU HAST NOT LIED UNTO MEN, BUT UNTO GOD." Does this ring a bell? John 13:27 - “AND AFTER THE SOP SATAN ENTERED INTO HIM (Judas Iscariot). Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.” Judas was not a believer, either, obviously. Satan cannot fill or enter the heart of a true believer. Ananias and his wife were trying to buy their way into the church.

This is a WEAK dispensational message. Salvation has not always been the same. In the O.T dispensations, salvation is a clear Faith + Work system, whereas after Christ died on the cross He completed all the works and only required Faith to get saved in Him. If you truly claim yourself going down the path of dispensationalism, read Dr. Peter S Ruckman's book and you will figure out why.

Romans 4 1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Galatians 6:6 - Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Read Hebrews 11 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%2011&version=KJV

That is correct. Paul is putting Abraham as an example. Only Abraham. Does this apply to all other Isrealites?Obviously not. Abraham is an example for imputed rightousness for Christians today. Your quote is taken out of context, that's why you can be fooled by this guy.@@jjsmoley

@@leowong5298 Abraham is not the only one. In the exact same passage Paul talks about David, who most definitely is an Israelite, and who was also saved by faith only. Romans 4 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. And again, there's a whole list of people mentioned in Hebrews 11 all saved by faith.

@@jjsmoley Don't you know that Paul is giving examples of people in the O.T. that shows faith, and they have works to prove their faith. Abraham showed his faith in God in Genesis 17, but he completed his work in Genesis 22 where he offered Isaac. Do Christians today need to show work when they get saved? Rightly divide the scripture my friend.

@@leowong5298 Their works didn't save them, their faith saved them but their works are the only way to outwardly show others their faith. See Pastor's series on James. kzbin.info/aero/PL2B4ebzvFXJCj_oyz4ael4yJHRifJfM-E
