Don't get concerned if Eagles stitch you up in the first week. Eagles will win 8-10 and 2023 will be a very even competition with a lot of teams improving.

Eagle supporters should not get too upset if North beat them - but i am sure they will.

@@billbaggins1688 Bilbo, it is a danger game. Eagles should win as you expect them to finish around 10-12th this year, but time will tell. The main thing that will help is a new coach at Northeroos, that may take a few weeks for the Northeroo players to get used to. Its going to be an interesting year, as I think it will be really very even competition with most teams improving. But at the same time its a superdraft coming up. So by round 16 if teams don't look like they'll easily make the 8 then you could have tanking and a race towards the bottom. A team like Eagles would love some more youngsters again. The last two years have been very good on a recruiting front. a third year and they'd be basically setting up a tilt at a flag in 4 years.

@@BDub2024 I like West Coast, and I think Adam Simpson is a good coach. West Coast are in a rebuild, and are behind North on that score. Most pundits have West Coast in the bottom four, but i like your enthusiasm. That is what pre-season is for!

@@billbaggins1688 Nic Nat will likely be out for the North game. Quite a big loss as our midfield with exception of Yeo generally enjoys an armchair ride courtesy of Nic and don't always get their hands dirty. Plus our midfield is probably the weakest part of our side. B Williams and Jamieson are really young and probably will only ever be second string back up ruckman at best. Though apart from that there is a huge amount of competition for spots in the side through half back and midfield.
