Sorry I've been silent so long. I had complications with surgery. Been off work for 4 months. We pulled the v8 Murphy and half the cylinders had valves stuck open, surprised it ran at all honestly.

I used to try and dump lower so I could get the bucket swing easier and then sling it on the 2nd one. Always an art to it.

So, after he dumps he and starts to swing back , right after the pile he drops it down after letting off the swing so the bucket increases momentum, he hit the swinger fairly hard and pulls in the hoist (or drag) I don't exactly remember which so not only does he have momentum from the x axis (left to right) he is getting more momentum from the y axis (fairlead or front of the crane to away from crane horizontal towards the tip of the boom.)

@@BrewstersAuto It's the drag to get out a little, then swing to get a wobble and when it comes around again swing harder and kick the drag brake off and GO! And I watched the Link-belt with the 2-cycle. Makes me want to sling more mud.

Awesome I usually check in here at least once a day but I missed about a week there because I have been so busy, I don't just work on heavy equipmen, I work on Autos, small engines ,anything mechanical ,machinery, ect...

A 190 was my first Dragline and ran many different kinds and sizes over the next 45 years.

They rate the 190 at 5 yards with 100 feet of boom but it handles 4 yards better in heavy material.

It really depends on the material and if you have full counterweight or not and how much boom.
