Yes it is very unfortunate, we put a very large amount of work in that won't do any good with a power plant to run it.

@@BrewstersAuto I like a Murphy a LOT but they won't last but so long. BUT with another engine you'll be slinging sand again! Always something!

The 4 and 6 cylinders are amazing and very simple torque power houses, I've heard that the poor design on the V8 high speed Murphy is what led to the fall of the Murphy Diesel Company.

@@BrewstersAuto I ran a 25 with the 4-banger and it just puttered along and the 6 in a model-6 with a headache ball. Just chugged along. I'm a big fan of any low speed diesel. The old UK diesels in the trains that made 1K horses out of 4 cylinders at 900 r's with a turbo YEARS ago and the old Cat motors on the 7's, 8's and 9's. Music to the soul!

@@lewiemcneely9143 We have I think 15 Northwest cranes now, some 25's, few 41's, a 28d, couple 95's, a 95-70, a 30t and 40t truck crane, and three model 6's, I'm probably forgetting some but they are scattered all over southwest Michigan haha. The two 95-70's we have are the high speed 6 cylinder turbo Murphy's which increased RPM to 1200 from 900 If I remember correctly.
