Thanks. Used to live near Hamilton and worked for a hunting outfitter in the Selway Wilderness for a season.

Summer turned to fall very quickly this year. Like the flip of a light switch.

Yep. Went from high of 80 to high of 50 in one day and by the looks of the forecast there's no turning back here in the NE

Another fine night sky timelapse. You use the zoom and time lapse so well! Nice sunrise shots. A fine and unique close to civilization wilderness backpacking trip.

That looked like a nice over-nighter. Good job on the video and editing, Andrew. Looking forward to your next one. Larch Heaven! Tom

9:00 I started using a food jar, even for the pre-packaged stuff like Mountain House. Holds the heat in very well and you can cook just about anything the same way you would Mountain House - especially when it is so cold that your meal cools before it is done cooking. I have a Hydropeak one which is much more affordable than the Hydroflask brand. Got it at Sierra Trading Post (no just Sierra, I believe) about 10 minutes from where we live. Most often, even when it is cold, you could let your food sit for an hour and still have to blow on every bite just to cool it down so you can eat it. I’ll often pack my first meal in it to help conserve space in my pack, or to have something ready for a nice, hot lunch on a day hike or for an emergency overnighter. Definitely has helped me conserve fuel.

I did this trip for the first time about 13 years ago - and then again about 5 years ago....I've never seen a mountain lake dissipate like this one. It's lost like 10-15 ft of water - which is just mind blowing to me...and you can visibly see where the water used to be as if you're in some ancient landscape looking for geological spectacles lol. Wyant Lake, used to be there in full force too - even in late summer/early fall. Now it hardly even exists. Just a unique experience. BTW your time lapses are top tier. I envy it and hope to get on that wave length this year.

@@NorthwestWanderer yeah, I was shocked myself. Keep up the good work. Love to see the vids. We're in the same area - ish clearly because you're always going places I've been/or go to/want to go to lol.

You make nice vidios-maybe you could be a little more vague with names of places, let folks find it for them selves. Kind of a bummer that social media has made places more popular and ins some instances somewhat too busy.....Not why we go there. Anyway- good job on getting out . Its lovely out there
