My sister's dog, which(who) passed away, only ate when my sister gave the command. Anyone else tells the dog to eat, it(she) didn't listen. It sat back and waited even half a day before my sister told her to eat. Then it started eating. This is the reason why I don't eat dog meat. It's so friendly, lovable, smart and loyal like many humans.

​@@Gamevet I think the other reason is the family rules on cat and dog meats. When I was young, mom raised chickens for eggs but we don't eat the chickens. We only eat the eggs. We sell our chickens and ducks as well to people at the markets for whatever. But we do eat chickens or catles that we bought at the market. For dog/cat meat, we don't eat it at all if we know what it really is.

@@aluisious I imagine that's how most people feel when they're sitting at a red light, and there's no traffic. The moral struggle of waiting for the light to change, versus just going because there's no traffic and therefore no safety hazard. I saw somebody stuck in that situation once. Sitting there for a couple minutes without the light changing, and zero traffic (I believe the heavy snow was messing with the sensors, or something). Noticing this as I was walking up to the intersection, I hit the crosswalk signal as I passed by to force the light to change. The driver shouted out a thank you as he drove past.

I have a husky/GSD mix. She’s 13 and I have had her since she was 1. She is the best dog I have ever seen and I spent a lot of time training with her when she was younger to be a great companion. I say “with her” because it’s a team effort. I needed as much training as her. She is a completely reliable girl and we are perfectly in sync. At this point, I don’t really have to tell her to do anything, she can read me so well, and I can anticipate her almost as well. I could leave a prime rib in the middle of the floor and leave for hours and she would not touch it if I told her to leave it. Of course, she knows that I will always have her back and she will get to share it with me when I get home. A great dog is the best blessing anyone can have. Consistency and trust. Give your dog clear direction and genuine love. You will get it back 10 fold. By the way, if you watch this and decide to try it, don’t use a whole cooked chicken. Cooked chicken bones are very dangerous to your dog. They are a choking hazard and if you aren’t there, you can’t help your dog. Cooked bones are generally a bad idea as they become brittle and can splinter into shards that can perforate the dog’s digestive system and kill them without emergency surgery. Don’t let your dogs have cooked bones, and especially not small, hollow cooked bones like in birds.
