No it can't be done like that. Parallelly connected means it has to connect between the same two nodes and the current should divide and is not happening with 3 and 2 ohm resistors.

If two elements were connected directly between two nodes, then the those elements will me called as connected in parallel and the current will divide. In the case of series connection, current won't divide and the elements will be connected side by side.
