Also shocking with the type of bot it is. Watched a ton of NHRL and have almost never seen a single 3LB vertical disk spinner do much of anything in that weight class. They might win some fights against lower tier bots but any time I see them go head to head with a solid bot they almost always lose and struggle to get any real engagement with the disk.

the fun thing about NHRL is that robots cost maybe 200 at max while battlebots is maybe 20k for a good competitor, and at the end of the day NHRL is what people want to see in terms of damage

Depends, most beetleweight kits are over 200 to 300 and considering nhrl is for beetleweights to featherweights, nk it is much more expensive than 200.

@@Greanbeens14 Yeah, my beetleweight robot (which is still heavily under construction) has had probably close to £400 put into it, and I do not even have any of the armour panels made for it yet, which will probably cost another £100-£200. Although most of the parts can be reused in other bots, so once you have built one it is a lot cheaper to maintain, rather than when you have to buy everything new.

oh yea. I love the larger robots in battle bots but they feel wayy too tanky for the most part. It's thicky heavy metal on thicky heavy metal and it's rare to see the same level of destruction you see in NHRL.

I think my favorite part about nhrl, Is that for the people who want to see or make the wacky stuff like drones or flamethrowers or whatever, It's all here. But if you just want carnage in the form of a good spinner weapon versus another robot with a good spinner weapon, You can also very much get that

From being a fragile Emulsifier replica to an aggressive and destructive killing machine, it’s definitely one of the most improved bots in NHRL history. Astonishingly, this happened again towards the end - Booty Brigade is absolutely terrifying on paper, but the NHRL warriors sent them home with two defeats! Some of the finest robot combat i have ever had the privilege of watching!

In their next fight it looked like Booty Brigade just wasn't able to repair their robots back up to 100%. Synthesis really did a lot of damage to them.

Part of it probably is that both have a strategy of going full throttle the whole match, as we see synthesis do here, but when working together they must try to avoid friendly fire. Droopy was hanging back or not spinning up a lot.

I feel like part of why he won was ACTUALLY because it was both of them- he really started dominating Lynx after he slammed it into Droopy. I'm not saying by any means he can't beat them separately, I just think the turning point was that strategy, which he couldn't use individually. Good on him for finding a silver lining in such a dangerous stormcloud!

Officially, yes. 3lb v. 2x 3lbs (technically 2.9lb and 3.1lb). They were able to enter in the 3lb bracket due to the loophole they briefly mention at the beginning- bonus weight both for a mini-bot (the second robot) and bonus weight for an unconventional movement method (Droopy's shuffling).

if i understand correctly, they are competing in the same weight, tho booty brigade is using a loophole, where you get extra weight allowed if you have a "minibot" that goes with the main one, as well as added weight bonus if a bot is using unconventional moving mechanism, such as walkers etc

Correct. So, a team called loophole did a through rereading of the rules and discovered a terrifying omission. A robot gets a weight bonus for non conventional movement of 2lbs at the 3lb weight class. There is also a provision where you get a 1 pound weight bonus for running a "minibot". What loophole discovered was that the weight bonus for shuffler didn't need to be applied to the main robot. And that a mini bot only needs to weigh less than the main robot. So, if your main robot uses unconventional movement and weighs 3.1 pounds, you can have a 2.9 pound minibot. Essentially, two 3 pounders as a single 3 pounder. The last two champions saw that team compete and said, "why don't we do that?" and created this absolute juggernaut
