A Week Exploring Southern Norway

Seven adventurous days in Southern Norway. Our challenge was to create cinematic images with the small DJI Pocket 2. To achieve this we used ND-Filters from Freewell, the ProMode in UHD 50p and FilmConvert Nitrate for Grading.
How was our travel plan?
We flew from Frankfurt to Trondheim via Helskinki (Finland). Two nights later we traveled to Bergen overnight by ship, where we also stayed two nights. We then continued by train (beautiful Bergensbanen) to Norway's capital Oslo and after two nights back to Germany.

Thanks so much Johnny - you're absolutely able to create lovely Videos with the Pocket 2 as well. But, to be honest, i just ordered my Pocket 3 last week and can't wait to share new videos and see how it compares. But in the end, it's mostly not about the gear you use, the most important ist your vision and creativity :)

Thank you :) No anamorphic lens used - just cropped to Cinemascope in Post-Production.

I've got the Pocket 2... super bargain at £220 from Amazon...and a Mavic Mini 2... all I need now is the Norweigan views. Manchester doesn't really cut it.

Was that a Used price on Amazon. Just did a search and the cheapest it's ever been on UK Amazon is £282.50 on July 5th 2021. Looking to buy one myself, but the basic package at the moment is £322.

Hej - it's a combination of the Osmo Pocket Gimbal, the use of 50p (which gives a nice little slow motion when converted back to 25p) and very slow moves and "Ninja sneaking" during fliming ;)

Hi! No, the Pocket 2 has an built in lens. The Cinemascope-Format was created in Post. Cheers!

Is this shot in slow mo or just in UHD at 50fps. May I know the settings you used?

Hej - it's shot in 50p, which is two-times the frame-rate of 25p, which is normally used here in europe. It's converted to 25p, so it gives you a 2-times slow-mo, which is mostly used in this video :)

How about the setting shutter speed and white balance? Apparently it wont let you adjust the ISO of dji so ND filter is needed otherwise the footage will be overexposed if you apply the 180 degree rule. So did you use ND filter?

I tried recording video on Dji pocket 2 without ND filter and the result was just unusable if not overexposed😔

What is UHD 50? I cannot find a setting on my pocket 2 that says this.

Hej - when you're in the "Pro Mode", you are able to Select "4K - which is UHD due it's resolution - and 50p" als Framerate. Cheers - Christoph
