The rightmost lane isn’t a bus lane on this stretch, it’s just that Norwegians do not understand triple lanes so all the slowest traffic collects in the middle one. Then you get people passing on both sides.
@Noi5ee5 жыл бұрын
Norwegian drivers have terrible lane discipline, they don't care about other drivers, they know damn well damn there is an empty lane to the right, they are just to lazy and egoistic to change lane.
@JonasUnsorted3 жыл бұрын
It's not a bus lane, but it's the exit lane. Notice all the signage pointing to the two outermost lanes if you're staying on the motorway - this is literally how you're supposed to drive on these roads if you're not turning off anytime soon.. We barely have any roads with more than two regular lanes for those going through e.g. Oslo.
@bjornmu Жыл бұрын
It *is* a bus lane for part of this stretch, as indicated by signs above and the different dotted line between the lanes.

Needs to be 6 lanes between Oslo and Gardermoen. I'd also raise the speed limit to 100 km/h where it is 80 and 110-120 km/h where it is 100.
@Noi5ee4 жыл бұрын
Traffic is Probably a bit high for 2+2 lanes. But a big problem is also that Norwegians have terrible lane disincline, probably the worst in western europe. That severely lowers the effectiveness of the road, regardless of number of lanes. You can see in some parts of the video where you can see far infront, there is a car in the left line behind which all the traffic is, infront of that car there is almost no traffic.
@sndfcx2 жыл бұрын
@@craigceecee8762 No roads in Norway has 120km/h as its speed limit yet. Highest speed limit here in Norway is 110km/h, but 120km/h is being tested on some highways.

And some places it's even 60km/h on a 4 lane highway! Sucks
@bjornmu Жыл бұрын
That would be because of the frequent on and off ramps and drivers needing to change lanes often. Much of the traffic on the E6 though central parts of Oslo are only going a short distance before getting off again. 100 or 110 is not considered safe when the traffic gets complicated. I saw the same driving E4 through Stockholm two years ago.
