I sailed Encore to Alaska in August '21. Enjoyed it very much. It was my first time staying in The Haven which was spectacular. Thanks for another great video!

We sailed Encore to Alaska in the 2021 season. It was really nice -- but this was during that weird period when ships were sailing well under capacity. It will be nice to get an idea of what a full capacity cruise is like.

Hey there. I can't remember but to go into Taste or The Manhattan room for dinner, do you make the reservations when you get on board or both restaurants will open up for reservations when we can start checking in? I haven't been on the ship for 3 yrs and I went in the solo cabins and I ate with the solo group. And the concerige took care of all of that. I will be going on The Encore again Christmas week with my daughter. So I'm not sure how signing up for dinner works. Thanks

We usually don’t bother with reservations, just choosing to line up when we’re hungry. I’m sure you can make reservations both beforehand and onboard though.

At what time between the booking and embarkation day did you ask to upgrade?

They typically send upgrade bid emails out within a week or two of your sail date, I'd say. That seems to be what happens for us.

Do you have any tips about Uberring from one terminal to another? We have found that it can be difficult depending on the port. Most Uber drivers will choose a longer ride/higher rate. And most terminals don't allow people to walk over from another terminal.

It all depends on availability. They have a little meter that shows you how “good” your bid is. But we’d say just bid only however much you actually want to pay, because they typically charge you as soon as they accept your bid, without consulting you first, hah!! :P
