Norwegian Fjord - STUNNING timelapse from P&O Iona, all the way to OLDEN

Over three hours of cruising down a stunning Norwegian fjord, Nordfjorden, at sunrise condensed into 3 minutes 35 seconds of wonderful timelapse.
It wasn’t supposed to happen. This was not a KZbin holiday. This was family time, sightseeing, food, play, once in a lifetime stuff, sightseeing, eating, photography, timelapses - while eating, sightseeing. Eating. You get the picture!
The 11pm sunsets meant sitting out in the evening was wonderful. The 4am sunrises meant....being asleep in bed! I’m not really an early riser.
But at the end of day three of our Norwegian Fjord cruise (G223) I didn’t quite pull the curtains all the way closed.
In the 'middle of the night' I woke up with a strange red, pinky glow shining on my face, light coming in through the not quite closed curtains. I checked my phone. 4.15am.
I went to investigate and that was that. No more sleep for me. The clouds were outlined pink, the front half of the ship was in Nordfjorden, the back half outside. It was the moment we cruised into the 6th longest fjord in Norway, at sunrise, on a beautiful morning.
Tripod open, gopro attached. Timelapse started. camera out, video and photos. At 7am I went and got some breakfast and brought it back to my ever changing scenery.
Couple of extra things to add, if you’re sailing Iona around the fjords, I would really encourage you to get up for this view. Even on 3hrs sleep it was mesmerising. You may not want to get up for sunrise but it’s worth getting up early for it.
For those on G223 who were also up early, I hope this reminds you of how magical it was.
One very last thing, at 2:21 you can see a white plane taking off from a grass runway. In real life that was crazy!
